I'd quite like Frankfurt, lived there for a little while and quite liked the place, wouldn't mind a trip over.

This again. It's just a name. If they renamed it the European Cup would you be more taken? Because that, ostensibly, is what it is; the European Cup. 19 of the 20 teams that ply their trade in the Championship each season aren't Champions. Only two countries compete in Baseball's World Series, but I doubt that inspires antipathy with Canadians and Americans. It's desperate that we still have some fans play down this competition because of its name.

We need to win this competition to complete our progression. There's zero wriggle room for error. It's the hardest, most prestigious club competition.

And any City fan who prioritizes an Fa Cup or League Cup ahead of the CL, particular at this stage and given the circumstances, is a f*****g melt.

It’s not merely an argument about semantics though. The concept of only champions of various European leagues playing other champions is a pure and appealing one. The CL is only about money, the various broadcasters and advertisers drone on and on about how special it is but your average match going fan doesn’t share that view - they know it’s all about the $$$$$

We don’t “need” to win it at all. Using the word “complete” flags you up as someone who thinks football is a FIFA computer game to be completed. We’re one of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the biggest revenues, we sell out every week, the best manager of the last 25 years has spent his best years with us, the most sought after superstar footballers in the world want to play for us ….. winning some shitty corrupt overblown beanfest won’t make a scrap of difference to our status.

As Bayern can't draw Inter or any of the German teams its getting more like an algorithm than a draw.
If there was a draw for this round of top versus second, it would make it simpler and no less interesting.

Nah, there'd be too much bitching and moaning from the German, Spanish and English teams and also with the League Cup final and FA Cup depending on dates you could have two English teams playing each other 5 times if not in a row, then in very quick succession.

Napoli - can't play Bus Wreckers, Inter or AC

If either of them don't come out of pot 1 in the first four drawn there will be some serious fudging going on for the teams selected to play against those first four seeds, to ensure that there are not just Italian and German teams left in pot 2.

I just love these UEFA draws a complete farce is definitely on the cards.

For those on here belittling the FA Cup at least you play anybody you get drawn against. No seeding just bung everybody in the bag and take your chances.
