How good were Pink Floyd?

Got tickets for next year. MEN isn't great but still, it's Roger Waters. Can't wait.

I believe his shows have now become political rallies .
That's ok. I'm fine with it. I'm more concerned with your masochistic relationship with Roger himself. I believe he got married recently, always the bridesmaid!

I always preferred The Doors also. I don't really see the comparison really though, 2 different styles, PF came under the umbrella of prog. Jim & Co didn't.
Early Pink Floyd definitely had a psychedelic rock vibe going on. “See Emily Play” and “Arnold Layne” springs to mind.

I'm not playing this new studio recording of Comfortably Numb. How could it be anything but a disappointment.

Well I've just watched it. Your decision was entirely justified. It's a 'mogadon' version of the song; what it should have sounded like until David Gilmour fucked it up with his squealy guitar.
My advice - save yourself 8 minutes of your life and stick to the magnificent original.

Personally speaking, a great band, one of the very best of all time.

Listening to Division Bell at present, always loved it.

I'm a bit like that, don't listen to an album for a while and then play it endlessly.

Pink Floyd were awesome.

Watters is a fucking egotistic ****, who has an over-inflated opinion of his talent. It's too bad that Rogers left Floyd - as I think that the band could have had much more success had he stayed on.

Judging by the crap that is their final album with Waters I doubt it.
