Motion - the country is completely broken

'Hey, hey hey,
There's no need to panic.
This is just how it is..

Hey, hey hey,
This is what you wanted.
And you got it, now you hate it,
cause it's a disappointment.
Your expectations
were way too fucking high.
Now you're angry, frustrated,
you've created your own special hell.
And it's Arctic and it's barren,
and it's silent and it's white.
Your own prison cell.

Hey, hey hey,
There's no need to panic'

Putin might actually be the man to solve all the above UK problems..

Putin readies second nuclear weapon this week amid chilling threats of London attack

That’ll never happen as we’ve spent all those billions on trident.. You know, the ‘independent’ nuclear deterrent that means we will never be attacked!!

I was saying this to someone the other day. The 'economy' supposedly grows year on year. Look back 50 years when I was 15. Council run Residential Homes for old people, Parks, Football Pitches and Public land kept to an immaculate standard. Council homes for those who needed them with front and rear gardens...I could go on. Where HAS all the money gone ?

50 years before that industrialists built estates for its workers, let’s not forget though that previously people lived in the worst slums in the world. Maybe it will go full circle.

I’d say it was brexit on top of austerity, they both took a battering ram to our public services and screwed up any resemblance of balance in either society or the economy.

Couple that with how social interaction has changed and knowledge is consumed due to social media and the internet, it’s been a recipe for disaster.

I still think we’re a way off the full realisation needed to resolve it - it might take a generation or two. We do seem to be at least turning a slight corner though - worrying how much real damage it takes nowadays for it to have an effect, opinions are so deeply partisan and embedded.
Too many companies feeding at the trough of nhs money the slag Mone pocketed £29 million for her family nhs public money for defective pow what’s done ? Fuck all…..all the politicians no matter what party are too interested in protecting their own jobs while on parliaments gravy train.Time for a good old riot like the poll tax riot show these corrupt wankers who,s in charge…….

I have spent in total about 2 years in China.
I have a Chinese/Mongolian wife, family and friends.
We are good friends with Government officials, business people and teachers. (They are all linked).
As long as you live within the laws of the land, you can live a good life there.
I cannot speak about Russia as I have limited experience of that country.

I don't know what age you consider as old. I am 64 and I didn't vote for brexit, in fact I said to anyone who would listen, that it was a bad idea.
In the 70's when the U.K. entered the common market, we were in a bad place as a nation. Entering the common market (albeit slightly reluctantly) improved the U.K.s position, made us stronger. Anyone of my age should remember those days and have voted accordingly.
I am English, European forever.
So please don't lump all of us 'old' people in the same bracket.
I was meaning much older mate

We didn't 'allow' it to get like this. We chose this.
I don’t think anyone chose this.

I didn't see trash the economy, the NHS, Social care and the emergency services in the last Tory manifesto.I didn't see increase poverty reduce life expectancy and increase the gap between the haves and have nots.

I saw 'get Brexit done' with all those promises. A vibrant global power UK and all those promises. I saw 'taking control and binning a bunch of red tape. Thats what people voted for but its not what they got.

I didn't vote for it as I recognised it to be the snake oil it was. A great many people were fooled by it though. To be fair they didn't choose this catastrophe.

I view this through selfish eyes. These cunts have trashed the economy and fabric of this country so effectively it will take a great deal of pain and time to recover. 10 years? What does that mean to me? I may not see the end of it. My kids will need to go through this period when they should be building their own wealth and family stabiity. My grandkids are all going through education and will be hopefully into Uni at the end of this next decade. What faces them and how will this period shape them? I can tell you that one of them is suffering now from the lack of support for mental health following the pandemic. What will we be expected to do? Suck it up without complaint. Pay for it through our taxes and the stress that this puts on almost every individual and family in the land. And all the while knowing that all it takes are a criminally biased media and a gullible electorate to have the Tory wheel spinning again.

I cannot understand for the life of me why there isn't more anger than there currently is.
The lack of anger is strange. If this was the 70s or early 80s people would be on the streets. The situation this country is in is absurd.
