It's the elephant in the room that no-one dares mention. The standard of football is embarrassingly poor and a country mile away from being sufficiently good to justify TV coverage. All for the purpose of placing another tick in the equality and diversity box.

I think its more than that. It ticks all the boxes for television. It is today's equivalent of 'Saturday Night at the London Palladium'.
It is a bland formulaic offering that will not upset anyone. There is no rivalry so the audience will watch City v the rags even though they 'support' Liverpool.
And here's the bit that will upset people, they are all pretty, sexy even. 22 pretty dancers, Lionel Blair could referee it.

Only if it's possible to referee from beyond the grave of course. Now that would make good TV.

I'm not sure Viennetta even qualifies as ice cream and, yes, it is fucking disgusting. Incidentally, is your other half familiar with the custom of eating Christmas pudding on, er, Christmas Day?

Messi asked the management staff if Kun could come into the squad unit and he ended up being his roommate throughout the knock-out stages. He’s pretty much been part of the squad.
