Holidays

Me and Mrs are going Teguise in January,FA Cup weekend, hopefully temp will be pleasant enough.
That’s where we go pal . We watch all the City games in the paradise bar , get quite a few blues in there . Bar owner is a Leeds fan but a top lad and always looks after us . Can get a little chilly at night but still shorts T-shirt and a hoodie suffice ;-)

Yea saw that bar, went in March this year, pissed down most of week, that's why we trying again, watched City at Palace in Champs Bar,and staying in that complex connected to it this time as well.

Jeans, hoodie, will be taken and worn, except derby day while I'm there,(they'll all know by start of the match who I support),

We used to stay in the Teguise Grand Playa did about 7 years there but the food is crap . Great location though and a sun trap for sun bathing , a couple of years ago we decided to try a beautiful small complex in Playa Bastian going room only . Not looked back since and a fraction of the cost of the 4 star hotel . 5 minute walk into the square aswell , full English breakfast every morning at either Cutty Sark ( that’s opposite your gaff) Motowns or the Black Bull then a 3 mile walk to the docks and back . Happy hour in the square about 2.30 , meal out about 7.30 then on the piss till midnight finishing off with a cheeky cocktail in Vali . Always make it back to Playa Bastian never any hassle , lovely lovely place ! ;-)

I've not had a holiday for at least 3 years now as the wife cannot travel anymore. We had a chat the other day and she told me to go anywhere i want and not worry about her.

Off to the Carribbean after Christmas after a brief stop in Tenerife then a trans-Atlantic dash on P&O’s new ship Arvia… Escape this f*cking cold

The one day we needed trains to be running was the 5th of January and it‘s now likely to be a day of further strikes… Looks like a very expensive trip to Soton by air or renting a car one way… not happy
All irrelevant now as SWMBO has to have an urgent biopsy and steroids / chemo so we were forced to cancel the cruise

Not sure yet if we can claim the money we’ve spent but it’s a moot point as the consultant at The Christie advised her not to risk being trans-Atlantic in case she goes further downhill

Shit sorry to read that mate.

Take care of her.

7 night cruise Canary islands booked for the 17th Feb and we have a week booked 30th September for Menorca so far.

Hoping we can grab another week somewhere as well.

Sorry to read that, bastard of a disease.

If you've not actually cancelled the cruise, that ship is having major issues, P&O may let you push it back, appreciate you've bigger things to worry about, buy thought id let you know.

Venice carnivale in Feb.
Lefkada for a week in September.
Mrs won’t go to Cuba in April cos one of the kids is expecting then so looks like December perhaps.
Might do an early summer car tour of the Loire valley.

We know about the issues cheers… Nothing new (apart from the lift issue) for a maiden voyage. This was actually supposed to be the second cruise but the ship‘s completion was delayed slightly

The only annoying thing will be if her treatment isn’t until after we’d have got back

What’s the complex called Gundoggin? Looking to go at Easter?

Off to Copenhagen at the end of January. What sights should we definitely visit?
Outside of town we liked the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Fredericksborg castle and the Viking museum. I wish we'd made it to the outdoor museum in Lyngby. In town we just walked every street we could find and explored. Nyhavn is quite picturesque though tourist-filled. And because we had near-teenage kids at the time, we went to Tivoli (for 2 1/2 of our eight days). And we had a great time.
