Always wanted to go and wife does it’s in the bucket listGates were installed at the two entry points to the lagoon during peak periods this year in an attempt to ease the throng heading towards St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. If numbers get too high, the gates are closed and access is allowed only to those with hotel bookings or holding a Venezia Unica pass, a card that is mainly used by residents but can be bought for €40 by anyone who uses a water bus.
Not been?
If it stops the twats on cruise liners I’m all for it.
Go and stay in Venice and you don’t pay it because you are already paying the tourist tax.
We have gone once a year since 2010, apart from covid lockdown.Always wanted to go and wife does it’s in the bucket list
Got to fly home from here to Alicante first, quick visit to house then Alicante to London then from there.
Doing Ljubljana next May for 4 nights. Got a hire car so doing Lake Bled and really looking forward to it. Only ballache is flying from Heathrow. You'll have to let me know how Slovenia is.Last few days at work before flying to Ljubljana next Thursday for 2 nights at Lake Bled, and then from there heading to Bali for 15 nights to include Xmas day and New Year.
Flights were half the price to start in Slovenia than from the UK, so a great opportunity to see Bled which has been on the travel list for many years (plus a night in central Ljubljana on the return)
Was good mate, always is. Still preferred my time in Tenerife though. Was meant to go back end of last week for a few days but it’s been fucking hammering down!! Will leave it until next weekend I think!! Haha! Hope you had a good one.How was Mexico mate ? - Bahia Principe hasn’t changed in 16 years anyway but was still nice
Flying home from there tonight. Apart from the day of the England game on Saturday the weather has been great. 26/27 last few days. Was good mate, always is. It's saying currently around a two hour delay at the minute so I've booked in the lounge to pass some time n have a few drinks etc.Same when I was there those temps,I was there for first 2 England games.
Tell you somert though, that airport has no facility for a smoke,I don't smoke myself anymore, but on vape these days, and there is no outside terrace like Gran Canaria or Lanzarote, that was disappointing, considering our flight coming in from Manchester was very late.
And please,if you coming back into Manchester tonight, don't come back in shorts and t shirts like some did on our flight, freezing mon, freezing when you get off

There is an outdoor veranda in here and maybe this is the only place where you can have a smoke.
Will put my pants on before I depart later on lol. It'll be a shock to the system when I land at 1am
was supposedly £36 but I got it for £20 through my Revolut travel appAh yea,I bet it is,as a matter of interest how much they charge you to go in the lounge mate ?
I’d suggest trousers as well. It's saying currently around a two hour delay at the minute so I've booked in the lounge to pass some time n have a few drinks etc.
