Lol. That so Sums up the toss pots who vote in Sky Sports polls.
We would. But lets be honest, if they had signed Grealish for £100m we would all be in hysterics. Can you imagine if we’d signed Nunez for £80million and the Scousers had signed Haaland for £50million!!! We’d be getting laughed out of court.
Great post and conclusive proof that sky sports viewers have absolutely no football knowledge and/or can't put aside their bias to recognise the truth.
Just let it go ffsWe would. But lets be honest, if they had signed Grealish for £100m we would all be in hysterics.
It came out pretty early that the Premier League wouldn't be adopting this unfortunately. Can't get the matchday paying public actually getting their money's worth now can we?Is there anything in the press/media about the lack of added time in the premier league ?
Just asking as in the world cup they got it right and fans got to see 90 minutes of football.
We would be witnessing the mental gymnastics by all and sundry in the press and across social media explaining why he is in fact worth every penny. We would. But lets be honest, if they had signed Grealish for £100m we would all be in hysterics.
I agree. I never even remotely indicated that I thought he was shit. But I think we have to be honest with ourselves regarding Jack. I honestly love him to bits. I really do. But for me, as yet, he hasn't nearly justified his record fee price tag. As I say, if the rags or the scousers had spunked £100m on him we would think it was hilarious and react like we do regarding Nunez. We would be witnessing the mental gymnastics by all and sundry in the press and across social media explaining why he is in fact worth every penny.
I don’t think we help ourselves though when we jump on the he is shit bandwagon with regards to our own players.
Not when it would suit us down to the ground and negate the negative tactics of inferior teams. No chance! It came out pretty early that the Premier League wouldn't be adopting this unfortunately. Can't get the matchday paying public actually getting their money's worth now can we?

He was never worth £100m, I think everybody recognised that but the club decided to take the plunge anyway. I didn’t think it was necessarily the right thing to do at the time, however the decision was made and they did it. Both City and Jack are being ridiculed for the fee, which isn’t his fault and he has by no means been disastrous as is being suggested by some, City supporters need to get off his back.I agree. If Nunez carries on like he is doing when he is well into his second season he'll have a lot more than half of the dipper fanbase on his case. That is for sure. I'm not convinced that half of our fanbase are on Jack's case either - nowhere near it. We see what he does every week, the second half against Leeds being a point in case. However, when you pay record transfer fees for players they are highly scrutinised. No way around that. I just think for what we paid for Jack a lot of fans have been disappointed by the lack of potential return on the investment and currently that's difficult to argue against. I still have a sneaky feeling he will come good. He will never be a prolific goal scorer. He never has been. But a 12-14 goals a season with the chances he gets in our team is not unrealistic. I don't expect the media to ever give Jack or us a fair crack of the whip, that's not happening. If they want to blow smoke up Nunez's arse then so what? Most football fans can recognise what they see and will come to their own conclusions. For me, so far Jack is a 6/10. Not a flop by any metric or measure but not a raging success either. He was never worth £100m, I think everybody recognised that but the club decided to take the plunge anyway. However whilst we’re being ridiculed for his signing, Liverpool’s shills in the press are desperately trying to convince everybody that Nunez is a good signing despite his finishing ability currently being terrible. He may well go on to be a terrific player but the evidence at the moment suggests not.
The difference between the two is that Jack has got half of City’s fanbase on his case whereas Nunez has got the majority of Liverpool’s on his side.
I’d put my house on Jack never ever getting double figure goal tallies with us. He just isn’t good enough. It’s not nice because he seems a top character but his best career tally is 8 and he’s now 27 It just isn’t in his arsenal to score goals. 33 in 10/11 years! You want to win a free kick in dangerous positions then maybe he’s your man. You want the occasional assists then ok but goals are very few and far between for him. Apparently the clamp down by referees has added on average of ONE added minute ,on average,of ball in play per game.So whoopydo for their Herculean efforts! It came out pretty early that the Premier League wouldn't be adopting this unfortunately. No one is saying he’s shit. He’s very talented but just hasnt established himself. He breaks up our momentum and doesn’t stay in his feet.We would be witnessing the mental gymnastics by all and sundry in the press and across social media explaining why he is in fact worth every penny.

Just replied to this in the premier league thread,do they know something we don’t a Newcastle win tonight ?Sky advertising the Arsenal v Mewcastle game as 'First versus second'.
Not staying on his feet is another myth created by the press and social media, now being perpetuated by his own supporters. He has the absolute shit kicked out of him in every game.No one is saying he’s shit. He’s very talented but just hasnt established himself. He breaks up our momentum and doesn’t stay in his feet.
