They’re all different and many have different legal statuses and funding sources, some are technically charities, others are statutory and others are effectively crown appointments. I’ve worked for a couple. Generally decent people trying to do what is often a thankless job

A good sensible comment at last.

The more clubs that get taken over by Americans, the more I feel we need someone to protect the game in England. I would take a regulator, warts and all. In the same way I can accept UEFA as a counterbalance to the big clubs in Europe.

Slated the BBC yesterday but they have a great article on Haaland today

Erling Haaland's records - and the ones he could break as Man City face Man Utd
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62825097

Not a good start if they have this under the headline pic.....

Erling Haaland scored twice in his last game for City, against Sevilla in the Champions League

And while much of the article centres on what Premier League records he could break, bizarrely the video footage is from his Dortmund days.

According to the MUEN, Casemiro is apparently ‘united’s secret weapon to be unleashed’ by Ten Months in the derby
The guy with four or five champions leagues at Real Madrid, who they paid £60m and £350k a week for just a couple of months ago? A player we have faced on four occasions in the last three CL seasons?
Yeah, some ‘secret’ weapon that
Everyone who plays for that scummy club is a weapon.
