Getting overplayed is an understatement.
You've named 3 defensive players, who normally make far less bursting runs than attacking midfielders and forwards.I find it really irritating that whenever Kevin has a poor game the go to excuse is 'he is overplayed', or 'he is tired'. Its absolute fucking horseshit. Walker, Rodri, Cancelo in previous years have played every single game no problem, they don't get this same excuse because they are professional athletes and can easily play 3x per week.
He is given one of the easiest jobs in the whole team. We play 442 with him as one of the strikers because he is so bad as an actual midfielder that we cannot risk playing him there.
In the first 20 minutes today he was walking back as people glided past him and it was so infuriating to watch. In the match thread i said it reminded me of Yaya at his worst and i stick by it. I would hate if he soured his legacy by becoming a lazy primadonna at the end his career who thinks defending is below him but he has put in 6 or 7 truly atrocious perfomances this season.
Different plauers have different recovery and physicality. That is obvious. We know Kev struggles playing 3-4 matches straight because it happens all the time in the last 3-4 seasonsI find it really irritating that whenever Kevin has a poor game the go to excuse is 'he is overplayed', or 'he is tired'. We also press from the front with KdB, the fact you think his job is the easiest in the whole team makes your entire argument a joke. Being tired increases your chance to make mistakes, and this happens to KdB every time Pep plays him in a row with no rest.

He's been the 2nd best player offesenvely by faaarrr. If we combine Bernardo, Foden, Mahrez, Gundogan and Cancelo creating abilities and assists this season, we get 1 KDB. That is the worrying part and the criticism should be pointing them more than him IMO.
If they were playing well, KDB wouldn't be playing nearly as much as he is right now
I mean at this point your clearly trolling, so touche sir, you got me.Kevin always has energy to press or to run forward when we have a counter attack, its the rest of the time it looks like he couldnt give a fuck. Pogbaesque dare i say.

What? KDB is by far the most criticized player in this fanbase (at least comapred to his quality). There's been a bucnh of people here want to bench him when he produces way more than any other of our players. He's by far the closest we've had to the best olayer in the world for 5 years now(something Aguero, Silva, Yaya or kompany never achieved) has as much titles as them, has more individual accolades... and still he is not even close to being a fan favourite as them.I dont agree, there are many times he has played week in week out over the last however many years and put in top performances. Its just a weak excuse because people seem incapable of actually calling out him being in poor form or playing poorly.
Can you imagine the reaction if in the Mahrez or Grealish (or Sterling previously) threads, people just went in and said 'oh its not his fault he put in another 2/10 performance, he is tired'. They would be ripped to shreds and rightly so, Kevin is uncriticisable for a lot of the fanbase.

Needs a rest. Time to play Phil as the number 10
I’d agree with you before tonightNeeds a rest. Time to play Phil as the number 10
I agree with Rodri though. KDB and Rodri are by far our most underrated when you compsre their output to the praise they receive from our fans. Gundogan, Sterling and Mahrez had moments when they were really poor for a long time. With KDB and Rodri they can have 3 exceptional matches and 1 poor one and it's terrible.Come on that is just untrue. Grealish and Sterling have had 500+ pages dedicated to slagging them off on this forum. Gundogan, Mahrez, Rodri, Garcia also had hugely more criticism over the last couple of years.
