Looks like a points deduction is required. I think the likely outcome will be 5 points deducted from every team under the CFG flag.
You know it makes sense.

Chelsea fans invading the pitch nothing to see here unless the A-League hammer the City keeper for throwing the flare off the pitch which he could have done in a safer way.Looks like a points deduction is required. Okay just to explain. Why have City had their "Ultras" section behind the goal shut?
From what I saw it was the City keeper and Victory fans that caused the trouble.
Australian FA killing the game there.
Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated.Okay just to explain.
The A-LEAGUE is now managed by a new entity APL, Australian Proffessional League not Football Australia. APL board is made up by some (not all) A League clubs. Mainly due to some A League clubs are owned by the League.
Anyway the Melbourne City active support ban is for 2 matches, no active season ticket holders are permitted entry, although they can still buy General admission, but lets not go down that path. The ban was self imposed by the club, not the FA or APL and was basically due to flares being thrown from our end during the derby. From memory there was atleast 15 thrown, mostly after we scored.
Now flares have been banned for years, many incidents of bad burns. Its an ongoing debate with flares but ultimately they haven't been used much in the last few years. Now during the World Cup and the Socceroos run decent crowds gathered at Fed square in the middle of the night and from what I was told it was a mixture of City, Victory and Western actives but they all seemed together and alot of flares were ripped. Being night and no reported incidents it looked great, the Police who "should " have acted let it go.
So that led to some of the less intelligent individuals at both ends think that its now okay to start using flares again.
I actually support the clubs stance, a line was crossed. We might lose some from the active but long term it's the only alternative.
For the record my boy is an active member. And I sit up the back drinking beers.
1-1 at HT? What's going on? Got the City dithers?Just about to KO from the cake tin Wellington
I am watching too and it is all City. They move the ball and themselves around pretty quickly. Not watched them for a bit what an improvement in play they look so good and playing the city group way 0-3 up
Don't suggest this to the Premier League.Thing with the league in Australia is you can be 20 points lead at the top and not win the league because they have a play off for champions
Ah yes. 3-0 up at half-time. I remember games like that :(Atmosphere poor with both areas behind each goal closed.
Some bad mistakes from Western for 2 goals but City never out of 3rd gear.
