How on earth is that not given as offside? He only plays the ball because he knows Salah is there hence he's interfering!?
The rule says he is not off, so he is not. However, any other team and that would be offside no doubt.

That is absolute bollocks. There was a similar one the other day that was chalked off. Was that Liverpool as well.

No fucker understands the rule anymore as they pick and choose when to use it. Fucking farce.

so when the initial cross is made Salah is offside- even by his big toe - flag should go up or VAR should chalk it off but no next phase defender heads it up in the air to an even more offside Salah which plays him on?

Stupid rule. He benefits from being in an offside position when the ball was played
Yep, because what is the defender meant to do in situations like that, let it go through hoping the opposition players are, in fact, offside?

And it’s subjective as to was it is “intentional” and “unintentional” play of the ball, which means it is yet another thing that can have very different outcomes depending on who is officiating the match.

It’s a stupid change that further disadvantages the defence.

why cant they look at it and see that there was an offisde leading up to the goal like evry other team is subjected too?

Yep. If the defender hadn't touched the ball while deliberately playing the ball, Salah would have been offside. And ifthe ball had accidentally flicked off the defender, Salah would also have been offside. Same thing that covers the back pass rule.
Judging by some of the posts on here Sane's goal against Liverpool was correctly ruled out...
