Best I’ve seen Zakaria play for years. He was immense.

Spot on about Hall too. Would really love it if we just accepted top 4 isn’t happening and just tried to develop the kids like Omari, Chukwumueka and Hall for next season.

With your injury list its no surprise where you are now but you have a seriously good squad when at full strength.
 
Yeah, after all it should be stated that Potter has a really tough task regarding list of injuries. To have James and Chilwell available and in form might be alone a difference of level or two. Transfers looks all over the shop with Aubameyang as a brutal example.
I expect Chelsea to be better, but much better not sooner than next season.

Potter is rather safe for time being, although needs to show some improvement and gets to the cups spots at least. He is capable, my bet is hes going to be good enough with a little bit more time.

Everyone is asking how long Potter has left before he gets booted, but no-one is asking about Boehly. He is a front-man is he not? Sure he has invested but so have a few others and Clearlake owns the largest stake and his performance so far has been ..,... hmmm ....,. hit and miss. Anyone think questions will be asked about Boehly in the consortium?

Yeah, but I reckon as also one of shareholders of consortium he would get much more time. Tbf to him its still hard to sam about him, new area, need to learn fast, pick right advisors. We shall see in the future, so far it was indeed hit and miss impression
 
Feel for Potter who will get the sack as per usual at Chelsea because he isn’t in charge of that side or recruitment policy, the owner is and his fantasy football approach will not work.
 
They’re completely mediocre

Maybe Potter isnt the man for a big job, but it has to be said their squad is nowhere near good enough anyway. I think even a more successful manager would have problems getting a tune out of this squad they have, if their goal is meant to be top 4.

Cant blame him for taking the job but when you weigh it all up in terms of the squad available, the objectives of the club and the other teams in the league, he was on a hiding to nothing from the start, in my opinion.
 
They have a real lack of creativity and pace in the side at the moment. Spent an absolute wedge but very little to show for it.
Mason Mount must be the most overrated player of the last 5 years or so. Gallagher is out of his depth and has become a prick to compensate for not being up to it.

Strange times at the bridge.
