Taylor Harwood-Bellis - move to Southampton completed.

He’s been one of the standout championship players this season and I think has the potential to play for England

I kinda agree with some of the above posts. I think he needs to be starting every week, if he comes back to city that’s not going to happen. We’d need a few centre backs to leave for him to get a proper chance

He was poor,no chance he is ready for the Prem going off that performance.

The pace and the extra quality had him flapping and upset his passing game massively,he looked nothing like his usual dominant self.Hopefully it was nothing more than a rabbit in the headlights situation and he uses the experience to improve.

I agree he was poor, but it was only one performance. He’s been excellent pretty much all season and as you say uses that as a learning experience

1 really poor pass, but a totally different prospect v fast forwards than in the Championship.
First goal both Centre backs went to sleep, second his partner didn't know whether he was going for a shit or haircut.
Didn't think he disgraced himself.

I don't overboard on these kids like some and end up disapointed or looking for excuses.

Taking care of business in the Championship is one thing, doing it at OT (even against the rags' B team) is a totally different kettle of fish. He won't be coming up against that standard of opponent every week.

But the rags b team did include Rashford, Martial, fernandes,
As I said he wasn't bad imo, and I watched the 90 mins

Part of the learning curve, was pretty evident the quality around him was also lacking. I think the kid would have a chance at City as a 4th choice, but we really have way too many CB's as it is. He could do worse than being sold to Burnley with a buy-back/first refusal. Tyrone Mings managed to play for England, i'm pretty sure Taylor can!

I agree. From what I've seen of THB playing for Burnley he's getting better every game. Being on loan there under Kompany has definitely helped his progress. His tactical awareness and reading of the game is coming on nicely. He's playing in a composed confident manner and distributing the ball out well. If one of our regular CBs leaves in the summer i can see him coming back here, if not maybe we allow Burnley another season loan, or sell him with the first refusal buy-back clause, like you say.

If I was going to trust one person to help him improve his game and to reach his full potential, I would have picked Kompany. Hopefully Burnley go up, they extend his loan through next season and the lad gets a season in the top flight.

Thats fucking shite, you never want injury obviously but its a huge blow to both him and the club.

Return him here and send Burns in that direction?
