Taylor Harwood-Bellis - move to Southampton completed.

I rate garcia, but i rate taylor a lot higher. From everything I've seen this lad has future city captain and legend in his future. I think in 5 years we will be blessed with city fans like foden, thb & doyle in the squad and fighting for the fans and playing for the love of the club. I genuinely believe playing for your boyhood club gives you an extra 10%-15% in your performance. Hopefully the next batch is coming through as well.

Getting local lads into the first team is a great way of lifting the fans.

Yeah - i’d rather win 2-1 with a core of our academy kids playing than 5-0 with every player signed for circa £50m. Luckily there are a few players on the horizon now who have the potential to be integrated over the next 2/3 years.

I’ve seen a few links to Leeds on loan. Not sure that would be the best thing - especially with how young he is and foden, for instance didn’t need a loan move

it speaks volumes how talented he is though that Leeds are considering him for the first team

Probably a level too high - if Leeds are in the bottom 5 by Christmas, they’d likely go into the market for an experienced centreback or two, and leave him in the stands. Blackburn to replace Tosin, or perhaps Norwich would be better options. I’d be all for a loan though - he’s physically ready, just needs to be challenged every week in senior football now.

I think he had a pretty solid game. His passing was well below his usual standards, but he was great in the air and made lots of successful tackles. I hope he will be ahead of Garcia in the pecking order if he doesn’t get his Barca move

Defending was pretty solid today. His passing was pretty poor I'd say. Still only 18 so a lot of development still left.

I was unimpressed for the first hour or so. Looked slow and weak defensively and not a great passing game.

Looked a lot better (as did Garcia) after Sterling came on and the rest of the team livened up.

I believe he's not played for a while, and he's only young. He did seem nervous. Hopefully with a few more games he grows in confidence and he can really demonstrate what he's got.

I'll happily write this one off.

Difficult to judge when he’s had so little football of late, but he did stand out for not having the required ability on the ball, nor the pace to defend high like we do. A loan would be good.

Would rather have him in the starting lineup than Garcia, even if he has less experience. Quicker, taller, better in the air and much stronger. A lot more suited to a high line. Garcia is the better passer, but with players like Bernardo, Rodri, Gundogan, Foden, De Bruyne, Sterling, Mahrez, Torres, Jesus and Aguero in the squad we don’t need a Iniesta at CB. THB can do the basics and can play out from the back and that’s enough. I would rather have someone who can defend

Don't do that. He's not the answer to our question. He'll play good once, shit the bed twice and effectively end his City career after 5 games. We should not be looking at academy prospects when seasoned pros are being bastards on the pitch. It's not fair to them.

With Stones and Laporte out and Dinho in midfield there was only THB and Garcia to choose from
