The fact that it was shared at all is incredibly lame. I'm sure far worse things are said in almost every single game.

Absolutely.

I understand to some extent the S****horpe supporter reaction, even if I think it is wrong, as they just want to celebrate their man’s ****housery — ain’t nothin’ but a tribal thing. But the fact that rival supporters and some City “fans” are celebrating Van Veen for sharing the story and/or criticising THB because of it makes very little sense to me.

But then again, a lot of things happening in football and in the social media obsessed world-at-large don’t make much sense to me from a purely humanist standpoint.
 
Is he lying though? No. He does earn more money than him, no harm in saying it as it is.
