How is Rashford not interfering with play when the ball was clearly played to him, he goes for the ball and gets within 6 inches of it? The GK and defenders would all take different positions if he's not there. He's clearly interfering!!
As for our performance, we are in this rut of overplaying in defence and midfield, our attack is now stagnant as fuck, It's all to slow and deliberate leading to fuck all being created. We need to get the ball forward much quicker.

When 1 -0 up we should have had a pen ,then they score a bs goal , decisions cost games , yes we weren't great but we were robbed of 3 pointsGot done with a bent decision pure and simple,controlled the second half went 1 up and was comfortable,feared the worst when I saw he was ref,fucking jokers

I’ve just watched the replay of their first goal and (I know this is unpopular view) as far as I am concerned there was nothing wrong with. Rashford didn’t ”interfer”. The two City defenders closest to the ball didnt stop or noticeably slow down as others on here have suggested.

All we did after going 0-1 up was give the ball away for fifteen minutes. It was terrible from us!
There was no leader out there telling them to calm down and gain composure.
Even if their first goal had been ruled out, that game was only heading one way with the way we were doing the wrong things after our goal.
Correct. The team lacks spirit and there's no sign of leadership on the pitch. Kompany or Morrison would have been kicking arses after they equalised.
I think too many of the players have already given up this season.

BT showing a zoomed in replay to show fish fingers didn't touch the ball but he shielded it and shaped to shoot so that's interfering fore
The media get their wish and we will have to endure a love in for frankly a poor Utd team. They won today due to weak officials but they also threw everything into defending. By comparison our defence looked slow and without Rodri doing most to stop easy passes into the box we would have been in real trouble. Our play is based about setting a rhythm and pace from the back and the back four today were far too slow. Nathan showing his limitations and Akanji was just ok - it tells me a lot when they were more than happy for us to have so much easy possession at the back because we rarely hurt them. This also means we get nothing out of Haaland who time and again made runs but we didn't want to try and thread a pass to him. We lost today because our back four was not a unit.
If we are to win the CL or get back in the league race we need Ruben and John back soon - leaders who would not have allowed us to play so slowly and so deeply. The space between the back four and the midfield was so big it was easy for them to counter.
Also Phil and Mahrez did not give the two Utd fullbacks who are not the best any trouble - the lack of pace out wide stopped us dominating in an attacking sense. No good having so much of the ball with so few attempts.
Jack played really well and its a shame that we couldn't get the win which would have been a big moment for him.

Pretty much my thinking mate. Its all gone pete tong and I don't really know why??I don’t really understand what’s happened to our team. If you look at the game against United early in the season, we could knock the ball about so fast and just carve through teams and even if you say United have improved, it doesn’t alter the fact we can’t even seem to pass the ball anymore. That’s on us.
That was only about 4 months ago. So we have it in us to still play like that, but for some reason it just doesn’t seem to be there.

100% Cancelo was brilliant todayAgree with everything here apart from Cancelo. Thought he was one of our better players tbh

I genuinely think we are in a mess at the moment, and can't really see a way out until we freshen up the squad.
Defence looks all over the place, chopped and changed every game
Midfield looks leggy, slow, devoid of ideas, and can't create chances for a goal machine

Lost it due to a passive first half. Most of the second showed we are a class above when we are either motivated or are instructed appropriately. Missed the chance to shut them up and put them in their place early.
Agree with a prior post that suggests we may have just run out of steam. The team is just too used to winning easily in 90% of its games.
Not sure what the solution is but if we end the season without either the Prem or CL I can see Pep going on a long holiday.
