Why did we let Zinchenko go?

The decision to let him go is getting worse & worse as the season goes on… especially with how Cancelo is performing atm & how he played at the back end of last season.

A big mistake this one. Jesus and Sterling I understood as they both had only one year left and we got good money for both but as far as I’m aware Zinchenko still had a couple of years left. Let’s face it, if he was still with us he would be in the team every week.

Because he wanted to leave to play more football and we got a decent fee , he also isnt a natural left back he is a midfield player adapting to play left back , we havent had a natural top class left back for years , if Zinchenko had stayed he would have always be viewed as a stop gap.
Personally believe he should have stayed because he always gave 100% and rarely let us down when he played but if a player wants more first team football you sometimes have to bow to his demands , and if we dont win the title i would love Zinchenko & Jesus win it , both had great moments with us and will always be respected by our support.

Didn't look too clever in last season's title run against West Ham (hence why he didn't get many starts under Pep) and wouldn't want to stick around being a bit part player at City (can't blame him for that).

What I can't understand is why we let sterling Jesus and zinchenko all leave for a team in the premier league, wouldn't of minded if we sold them to a team that didn't play in the same league as us!
