Do you support the RMT?

Train drivers on £59,500 basic for holding down a dead mans handle ffs. I wish I could strike for ' better working conditions ' and fuck the country up whilst earning that.
I’d be looking at the people on a minimum of £84,111 when talking about the country being fucked up. In fact, MP Peter Bottomley has stated that it’s “really grim” having to live on a salary of £82,000 (said last year before it went up to £84,000). That’s without his expenses of course (I believe they can only claim £130 a night for a hotel in London, £32,000 for a relative to run their offices) and a whole host of other stuff. I also know that they can travel first class but will only get reimbursed the cost of a standard economy return. So, going from Manchester to London it’d be almost impossible not to find a first class advanced fare cheaper than the standby return fare of £369.40 (3 of those fares every WEEK pays for a train drivers annual salary, by the way).
One of the biggest issue facing these charlatans in power is when they talk about Independent Pay Review Bodies and then you realise that they almost always ignore the recommendations anyway. The only exception to that appears to be the one that increases MP’s pay.
Finally, the average FTSE CEO had earned your quoted train drivers pay by January 6th and he/she have therefore ‘earned’ double by today…….

This is a fight for everyone of the rail workers don’t forget them poor sods who have to clean up the shit piss and vomit so there actually usable. There’s key as anyone who fully deserve a proper pay increase.

I think as the number of strikes in more sectors grow I'd say Mick has little to worry about
I’m in agreement and am sure he’ll stand firm but, for the bloke who is the face of Union’s, I feel that he needs to step back and leave it to those who have better clout.
