Interesting to see what happens with Lewis. Why wouldn’t he stay involved in the first team he’s been great.

I’d like to see
RB: Walker/Lewis/Cancelo
LB: Gvardiol/Cancelo/Laporte or Ake
CB: Dias/Stones/Akanji/Gvardiol/Laporte or Ake

So buy a LB who can play CB like Gvardiol
Sell one of Ake or Laporte
Keep 5 options at CB

Could argue we buy a LB who can’t play CB and be fine with 4 CB

We absolutely need to sign a top class left back this summer imo mate. Not someone who can just play there but it’s actually their position? Strangely enough I could see cancelo moving on if things don’t change?

It’s a strange one with cancelo as he looks dog shit on the right but walker isn’t getting any younger either and obviously Rico is now in the frame for RB? Gomez I could see going, maybe on loan so Ake could stay maybe but depends on him being happy back as a backup? Maybe a top class left back and a free transfer? Guerrero? Grimaldo?

We do need pace just as an option, Haalands pace doesn’t get tested much cause he doesn’t really touch the ball unless it’s ending in a shot. If we all agree we need a winger why don’t we just make sure they have pace, if we use their pace fine and if we don’t it’s still there. If there’s two great wingers why not get the one who would give us something different to what we have. I’m going in early on Nico Williams.

Gvardiol coming in should tell you something, We're going to be loosing one or Two senior defenders possibly Laporte and Ake. And no he's not coming to play Left back lol.

All the money right now is the premier league, we are the super league, it would be harder to get a Toney and Brentford are what 8th? Leao will have a year left in the summer if he doesn’t resign, he’s already won the league, if Kvara wins this year they’ve both accomplished the top prize in Italy. Serie A is a great competitive league, but it’s nothing on the prem and these clubs won’t be the favourites for a champions league win, it will be easier to sign Leao out of the two, plus we nearly got him at sporting we must know him well.

Diogo Costa GK 23

Galeno LM 25

Otavio RM/CM (So similar to Bernardo) 27

Gabriel Veron! LW/RW 20

Think I’ve seen all linked very briefly, expect Galeno which is more a guess, Diogo Costa is great with his feet, Otavio is one of the most similar players to Bernardo about and Gabriel Veron is just a young Brazilian winger, always for market value!

That's been a growing trend over the past few years now. I agree we'll be seeing it more and more.

There's a difference in wanting pace for balls into the channel/over the top (which Pep doesn't want) and explosive acceleration to get in behind packed defences when playing the short triangles. Jesus, Aguero, Sane & Sterling were good at the latter

And even though we face mostly 8 or 9 man boxes on a weekly basis we've had more than enough chances in games to counter and we just don't or can't. Pace on top of skill is NEVER a bad thing...

Pace has to be priority. We were able to mask losing Sane but Sterling as well has really buggered us despite what many think of him as a player. He impacted defensive formations/defender decisions.
