Hahaha would this result be worse sixth tier team goodness me,although thinking of Halifax and Shrewsbury brings back horrible memories the Shay and gay meadow wasn’t it ..

6th tier. West of Scotland premier league. A wee town 10 minutes from me in Kilmarnock.

Owned by John Gall of Browning's bakers so a fair bit of money pumped into the club for the level which they're at, know for a fact some of their players earn good money and they've paid upwards of £10k on certain transfers which is unheard of at that level of football.

Auchinleck Talbot are the biggest and most historical name in their league, Darvel have came from nothing and been completely bankrolled but I don't grudge them their success one bit - great to see.

Is the Ayrshire junior scene still tribal or is it worse now.

Most games are ok but some are very tribal.

Cumnock Vs Talbot is one thing but recent events involving Kilbirnie Ladeside from North Ayrshire are ridiculous.

You generally don't get major upsets in the Scottish cup the way you do with the FA cup, but this is probably the biggest in the competition's history and our kind of version of Hereford beating Newcastle.

Think you could get 30s on the exchanges but some of the bookies were as low as 12/1 ( Paddy Power )

Considering a non league team hadn’t beaten a top division team for 57 years, and they’re not even a top non league team, those odds look incredibly skinny.

They must be a bit better than their league status suggests.

It's just a money thing. They're an anomaly in that league - I suppose after my initial exuberance last night it isn't so surprising in the cold light of day. They would hold their own and compete financially in league one, three tiers above their current station. Gives a clearer picture of what's happening maybe.

I stumbled across a game at this level (it may have been level 7 even). Ignoring the quality what made me laugh was there was no linesmen. The ref does it all

But I think, despite the advertising, it was never made of girders. The only thing to come out of Scotland that was made of girders was Duncan Ferguson.

Definitely not this level. Further down for that sort of thing.

My dad was born and raised just round the corner in Newmilns.
This result is more akin to Chorlton beating a premier league side like West Ham.
