He is a good player and think he would do ok for us but we've got enough English players.
England are shit so it makes sense that if we sign lots of English players, we will become shit.
Probably helps to have a wide range of nationalities for champions league too.

the price probably will be quite difference. McAllister is contracted to 2026, Maddison has a year left.

I'm not going to be too loud about it but I actually think maddison will be great at city, will be great to have another playmaking number 8, his numbers are decent and he is capable of moments of magic in tight spots that some of our attacking players right now aren't.
