Get the fuck outta here, will ya. He walks onto this team today. Get a hold of yourself.World class? does he know he's got a left foot? If his name was Nick Bar from Slough he'd just be another player

Martin Samuel's wrote an article in the Mail about 5 seasons back when they sent James Rodriguez back to Real Madrid after his two season loan deal , saying that it was a cheap of them and very typical of them as a club. He also stated that you can call City all you want for spending money at least City pay up. Bayern have no intention of spending 61 million on Cancelo. There is a better chance of flying monkeys than Bayern paying the option. They could win UCL with him pitching in 50 goal contributions and they would still haggle down the fee with us.
I'm down...When we inevitably get a couple of injuries at the time of the fa cup and CL quarters/semis with no squad depth we write off another year.
If we’re to return to 17/18/19 dominance and see off a resurgent united, arsenal and chelsea I think we need to go big in summer:
Sell:
Laporte 50 (his time and last 2 years)
Gomez 10 (not good enough)
Cancelo 40 (bridges burned move on)
Gundo nil (not enough energy his time)
Bernardo 50 (soap opera)
Steffen 5 (not good enough)
Wilson Esbrand 5 (+buyback)
Doyle 10 (+buyback)
McAtee 10 (+buyback)
Kabore 10 (cash in)
Herrera 5 (cash in)
Total 195
Loan out:
Palmer (lower half prem team)
Delap (another championship year)
Harwood Bellis (1 more year at Burnley in PL)
Buy:
Gvardiol 90 (laporte replacement)
Starting LB 45 (cancelo replacement)
Versatile back up FB 20 (gomez replacement)
Bellingham 120 (gundo replacement)
Pacey winger 80 (bernardo replacement)
Versatile back up winger 30 (new squad role)
Versatile back up CAM 30 (new squad role)
Total 415
Increases squad size by 2
To do that in one summer is ridiculous but we’ve brought that upon ourselves with decisions made over last 2 windows.
What's the relevance? We need cancelo to rip up trees there so we can get Davies
What's the relevance?
Cancelo plays RB for Bayern.
If he was Christy Brown, he'd have won an OscarWorld class? does he know he's got a left foot? If his name was Nick Bar from Slough he'd just be another player
Can I ask a question without you getting mad? Why do you have to always go to extremes. Who said anything about 10 new random guys or emulating Chelsea. How about the supporter like me who doesn't think bringing in a competent, professional LB to provide cover for Cancelo leaving is a big ask? You know why? Because its not and it should have been addressed, simple as that. I for one don't need a lecture on being a good supporter. Just saying...What a load of rubbish.
Complacency doesn't result in 4 titles in 5 years, a CL final and several domestic trophies with record breaking seasons.
You even say yourself, we have gone and identified players and bought them to replace players leaving and that has resulted in us staying at the top. What is your suggestion here, just go and buy 10 players for the sake of it rather than the one we actually need?
Clearly you have never watched a single interview with Pep, he is very clear about how he builds a team and a squad. His record speaks for itself, so he clearly knows what hes doing.
If Chelsea and the rags are in the process of overtaking us, they must be doing a fucking shite job because both are comfortably behind us and we have been shite this season by our standards.
Arsenal having the season of a lifetime (backed by several hundred million pound in signings) are the only club ahead of us and even we dumped them out the cup last week.
All 3 of those clubs have spent the GDP of a small nation just to try and compete and so far, two of them are doing a pretty crap job because only one of them is above us.
"I hope the Club are still up for the challenge."
One bad season by our standards and this is the sort of comments we are seeing.
Nah were not up for it mate.
The best assembled management team in football is going to start signing Mido and Lee Cattermole and hopefully we can be around mid table next season.
This transfer spending by Chelsea has sent this place into a meltdown, its embarassing.
England have been outperforming Germany at both youth and senior levels for some years now.
German clubs are falling over themselves in the scramble to sign young players from English academies
I don't judge a player just on stats, the fact remains he is far from a once great player...at this timeHis assists number dont agree with that!
Never said we can but the competition around us are rebuilding strongly, we will have to strengthen considerably to even stay in the mix next season. If it makes blues becoming needy spoilt brat dickheads I'd happily forgo the league here and there. Certainly cant win it every year
No one is saying that....not even close. We cannt win the league every year and we could even end up trophy less and I'm fine with thatWe're doomed I tell ya.
I don't imagine other clubs' fans feel this way. For whatever reason, any dropped point, any injury, any player leaving, or any passed transfer window seems to leave some members frothing at the mouth and foreseeing doom. Personally, the last ten years have been a blessing and, my word, we have been lucky to be blessed with the owners, management and players that we have had. I have enjoyed the ride. I have built enough faith in what we have to not think that it will end tomorrow, and enough faith in our transfer team to know that we get it right most of the time. Do we have to considerably strengthen - no. Would we benefit from a couple of signings - yes. Do we need to plan for the eventual departure of KDB, MAhrez, Bernardo and Gundo - naturally so.Never said we can but the competition around us are rebuilding strongly, we will have to strengthen considerably to even stay in the mix next season.
Complacency, remember what the manager said.
Chill out mate it was a joke.No one is saying that....not even close. We cannt win the league every year and we could even end up trophy less and I'm fine with that
Of course it could also still be a successful season
Have you considered applying for Txiki's job if it's that easy. Just saying...Can I ask a question without you getting mad? Why do you have to always go to extremes. Exactly these guys have no idea what they are speaking about. barella will easily replace gungo or even a KDB in the form he is now. guy can play deeper or higher up. but I do prefer him playing deeper closer to Rodri and maintain total control of the game, though he can also move forward and make key passes. then we have 4 other players doing damage up top. barella is like veattri without the injuries.I'd say stick to your day job and leave player assessment to someone else. Barella walks onto this team today.
Inter are a selling club if we put the money and he makes clear to them he wants to leave. yes it will be a big outlay. but if we sell bernardo and cancelo along with our loaded warchest from the last two seasons it should be possible.I'd take Barella in a heartbeat but it would cost a fortune and he is pretty much the face of Inter...
De Jong and Bellingham wouldn't be topped in terms of midfield acquisitions. That's Gundo and Bernardo replaced with arguably better quality. But I think Frenkie will go to United. Hopefully we've made significant inroads with Bellingham.Bellingham
De Jong
Fran Garcia
Diaby
That would change our dynamic again imo with youth and pace!
