He's always said he isn't. That's the point in the end of a DOF. The manager will be consulted but Txiki will decide along with the money men.

They'll discuss likely targets together and rate them in order of preference maybe, ultimately it's not down to (even) Pep as manager though.

If he really wanted a player he'd probably get him, where he might like Maddison but if Txiki were to say he'd rather get say De Jong., Pep would be fine with that too and not see any need to push it, especially if Bellingham was on the cards as well.
