PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If we are in fact, as it seems, being alleged to have pretty much carried out accounting fraud and cooking the books, surely this would also have an implication with HMRC and not just PL? It would mean that either the independent auditors, i think there have been a few, have either:

1. colluded and been paid off
2. been negligent and not done the job properly (all of them)
3. City giving them false documentation, that surely is one of the things they would have been looking out for in the first place?

The severity of the accusations surely means that PL wouldn't go in with the same level of evidence that was thrown out by CAS. I personally believe the reason that there are so many are to allow them a higher percentage chance of getting some to stick. Even if they got 20, they could push for some kind of punishment and it will look like they are doing their job. One of the first things that the PL clubs were assured by the new woman in charge, Alison Brittain (a rag btw), was that they would uphold the rules and push hard on it.

On the flipside even if City were to win all of them, or maybe even a good percentage, i don't think we would cause any drama other than a 'told you so'. It's in the owners interests to keep the PL in the state it currently is, business-wise it brings in so much it would be dumb to try and destroy it.

My son messaged me from school yesterday and said “I know now dad why you think rags are as big cunts as dippers”. I didn’t tell him off for using the C word, and he has grown up with the dippers being our main rivals, but he saw the rag pricks as being the cunts they equally are yesterday.

I reminded him that him and his brother, 16 and 14, are brilliant City fans and always will be and that City have always been a brilliant club with brilliant fans, and always will be.

I also reminded him that when he was a baby in his pram we went into the local bakers and he had his City hat on, at which the twat behind the counter said “oh don’t be bringing him in here with that hat on”, to which I said I’ve been listening to shit like that for 50 years and not taken it, and neither will my son; I haven’t and nor has he, and we never will. She then proceeded to tell me that she was only joking, I asked her if she could see me smiling? She handed me my sandwich and I said if you think I’m paying for anything you’ve touched you can fuck right off and threw the fucker (the sandwich) on the floor, and wheeled my son out. Interestingly as I went through the door the bloke behind me said “that’s disgusting”, as I was about to explain my reasons he said not you Blue, her, City til we die, and he walked out too saying I’m never coming in this shop again. 16 years later and I don’t know if he’s been back in but I haven’t.

Blue blood runs deep and thick. I am proud of my son, he is quite badly behaved at times but he is City through and through, as is his younger brother. They were with me at spurs on Sunday and as Harry said yesterday if they relegate us it’ll be easier to get tickets for away games, bless him.

We survived 35 years without a trophy, over 20 years of Peter fucking Swales, we will survive this.

CITY TIL WE DIE
love this .

What the fuck is Leterne going on about here? Because none of the below was found to have happened by CAS. Especially this bit: "it turned out that money from sponsorship was actually paid by the owner". Sounds like the shit stirring **** is making it up:

'There was a total lack of transparent flow of financial information. With a battery of lawyers, they did everything they could to counter the work of our auditors. In addition, it turned out that money from sponsorship was actually paid by the owner.'

ADUG, the owner of Manchester City, did provide money for Etihad to pay their sponsorship.

The problem for UEFA is that's not inflating the value of the sponsorship, which is what they accused City of.

Not really new information but at least this side of the story is out there.

This bit was interesting, but not suprising

'To add to the irony of Monday’s announcement, City are the only club in the top six who are in favour of an independent regulator.'

With the charges of non compliance with UEFAs FFP, won't us getting cleared at CAS mean that he can't be found guilty in those years?

Or will the league try to prove UEFAs case again?
That's what I was thinking. There are 5 charges relating to uefa which you would probably say were brought in there case against us.
This goes to show the Premier league are in bed with uefa

I think it’s about time Khaldoon sat down with chris Bailey for a little chat to put a bit of meat

on the bones of what we’re fighting here and how. Whilst there is at least some carcass to defend after the media Vultures have feasted!

I agree 100%. IMHO the possibility of sub-judice doesn't apply here as the PL have already decided we're guilty and come what may mud will stick. Khaldoon should come out fighting and call out the entire organisation run by the cronies of the cartel clubs. At least it would put forward our case into the public domain. The so-called independent commission will be a kangaroo court with apparently no right of appeal. If (and when) found guilty, it would seem that the only recourse City would have is to sue in the High Court.
This has really got out of hand and all because the cartel didn't like us gatecrashing their little party. We've never been welcome since 2008 and we sure as hell won't be in the future.

Fuck everyone. We should be like Millwall and chant proudly “no one likes us and we don’t care”

Who cares that we’ve cheated/ bent rules. Let’s just play to our new persona and embrace it. That will piss everyone off.

I've sort of just given up, WE ARE GUILTY no matter the outcome, Manchester city can not win,
we are public enemy number one, with the red scum media leading the witch hunt, the damage was done a long time, not by the money, But by our own media team being so weak, letting the media run riot and totally unchallenged from day one, it should have been an iron fist and legal action taken,

just go and look at liverpool and Klopp in the after match interview at the weekend ? we told you am not taking any Questions from you, the club have made it very clear to you,

NOW we have a Kangaroo court in the media and with the public, every time something comes up, Guilty ? end of story, whatever the statement it's Manchester city cheating again and again,
That's the sad truth of the matter mate.

As City fans, we can do no more than piss in the wind. Whatever we say, no matter how logical, will be thrown straight back at us.

The City media team has failed consistently to close ranks when the club has been subject to any sort of criticism. We've allowed the same shit-stirring journalists to attend games, press conferences etc, week after week, as if they were close family relatives. They can write any shit they want, and still get fed and watered for free in the best seats in the house.

It's a joke. Especially when everyone knew that the club was under continued investigation by the PL. We should have closed ranks and told them to fuck off, releasing the minimum amount of comment, and making the media buy match tickets through Viagogo etc.

It's too late now. We'll get royally fucked if even only one charge is found against City, and the media will dance around on the club's ashes.

They can take away our titles and rewrite history.
They can destroy the reputations of our owners.
They can get us relegated to level 10 of English football.
But they can't erase the memories of the millions upon millions of people who actually witnessed the achievements of probably the greatest football team ever to grace British football.

I hope our legal team are all over this.

The lad don't know nuffink.

He thinks it's a stronger case because it can't be appealed to CAS, and because there are more charges over a longer period. What a twat. And he was in charge against us. Shakes head in disbelief.

It is very odd that the cheaters want independent regulation and those that are rule-abiding don’t.

A great man once said “All who gain power, are afraid to lose it”.

Who Started the Premier League ? The big 5 as they portrayed themselves Livarpool Man Utd Everton Arsenal and Tottenham . They made the breakaway for there own financial gains , they wanted more money for themselves , fuck the other 87 teams ...........
And that my friends is the Moral of the Story .Corrupt Cartel of Wannabe Clubs and The Corruption of football as we know it .
Cap doffed.

Rousing, but disturbingly defeatist at the same time Lav.

Khaldoon will wait for his moment, this is not that time
I think Mr Khaldoon will discuss it with Sheikh M who will then advise him as to what course of action should be taken.
I am mindful that our owner likes low profile steady growth knowing full well he was not welcome from day 1.
He is a financial investor so unless his investment is severely threatened he is unlikely to change his stance.

Obviously just an opinion.

That's not going to happen, but the club need to wise up on the fact this is a PR battle just as much as a legal one, and they should be putting out something more substantial than yesterday's statement.

It's very noticeable how many journalists are getting steered by, or off the record comment from, other clubs. City can't let their opposition be the only voice filling the news void that's going to exist for the next 6 months.
