PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I like how wages are even brought up with our lawyers as well.

Mate, could i ask you politely and you can tell me to fuckoff and i won't take the hump, could you not post that twat Harris on here!

I know you are just putting tweets on about us but this prick hate us with a passion, sportswashing this and human rights abuse that, he can't mention us without going into gobshite mode.

I hate his nostril filled face.

We are definitely f*cked.

Just checked my Season Ticket for Sundays game against Villa in my Google Wallet and it's now showing as Silver rather than Gold (and no ticket for Villa either).

Has the money run out........?

Those brown envelopes don't fill themselves

I agree with that. When you have a reputation as the country's best law firm, you do not select high profile civil cases that you fear losing. I suspect though that both sides feel that they have a more-than-realistic chance of winning. This could be extremely complicated, hence why it has and will be dragged out over a long period of time.

Not that it amounts to much, but I sense that Kieran Maguire takes the view that we are being stitched up.
As a lawyer, you take the best paying client you can get.

They're not risking anything. If we are found guilty they will be hailed as the saviours of football.
If we are found not guilty they will be lauded as at least trying to save football.
The hearing is in private, so that all depends on what the judgement says.
If we pursue a line that the PL is not acting in good faith, and persuade the panel, it could be devastating for the PL.

A very fair point. I only saw it because Stefan replied to him saying it was bollocks. Noted for future reference.

Not sure what you mean, the PL obviously doesn't have the power to do anything like that.

If you mean the PL will pass judgement and then the authorities will take over - if they had evidence of such serious financial criminality I maintain that it wouldn't be the PL investigating/passing judgement it would be the HMRC, UK Financial Crimes Unit, the Police and the CPS.
That's precisely what I mean. These are allegations of criminality and HMRC and the Police would have to launch their own inquiries if the tribunal rules against City. The political pressure for them to take action would be huge especially in the current climate where there is so much concern over tax evasion/avoidance.

Now that we have our top class legal team appointed, I’m really hoping the club - in the form of the Chairman and the CEO put out a measured, dignified but defiant further response to the charges, and indeed the behaviours of the PL and Media outlets since they were laid. The club’s initial statement was okay but given the media storm and spiteful speculation being thrown at us from all directions, we need to be a little more assertive. It will greatly encourage those within the club, the fans and those (few) who have stepped forward to support us.

Maybe so but you know what, are you bothered? It’s got to that stage where whatever ‘punishment’ they dish out us fans will just laugh back at them and support the club even more fervently than before. That’s how I feel anyway. Fuck the Premier League, UEFA and the Hateful 9.
Part of me would like the. Club to say 'you know, deduct all our points for this season and give us a transfer ban now, plus a fine and we will just get on with life' rather than have it dragged out for years.

We will never clear our name now anyway and so we may as well just take the pain and crack on.

Well not liking the premier handbook that says that the independent reviewed of our case it says it can use a “PROBABILITY” to whether we are guilty on fraudulent grounds!

So these people who are going to judge us will have look at this and discus “now what’s the Probability of Man City doing this” now because of the negativity narrative over the last 12 years you think these people won’t be influenced by that!?
