Only de Bruyne of our current players played for City in the period of time we are being accused of breaching rules so I’m not sure he could really say that they are tying to take away what the current team has achieved.
You've got stones, walker, silva, gundogan, ederson all signing in 2016 and 2017, id like to think at least 4 of those would be big characters around the dressing room and along with de bruyne like you say. This is a team of winners and I would like to think that players that have arrived since would also be fired with their fellow team mates , if they are trying to tarnish what we have achieved up to 2018 then I would imagine the stance of narrow minded fans of the other 19 PL teams would take the same view post 2018.

The best thing to do, keep winning trophies and boiling piss in the meantime.

He’s one of our oooooooown
Pep Guardiola he’s one of our own
That'll do, no excuses for not knowing the words to that too.

Pep, in his second language ran rings around the supposed ''top'' sports journalists in the country, it was a sight to behold, especially when he casually threw in the Julius Caesar quote! Poor Barney Ronay will have been up all night researching that theme for his next hatchet job article.

Having seen Pep's staunch defence of the club, as well as various analysis from Prestwich Blue and others who have kindly broken down the charges, I am more calm about the situation than I was when it was first announced. Pep clearly loves it at City and has close friends in very senior positions, but first and foremost he has his own reputation to protect, not only as a manger, but his integrity. I would imagine his own lawyers know every detail of the charges and are comfortable for him to take this position.

If Pep had doubts I don't think there's a chance he would front up to the media like that, he would be within his rights to state that there is an ongoing enquiry, which he won't comment on and his focus is on matters on the pitch.

Julius Caesar? That’s nothing. Arteta quoted Voltaire…
