"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." Is that the one?
It'll do for the red shirts in the PL anyway.

Not that one but a fine example of Voltaire’s sagacity. No, when Arteta was pressed yesterday more than once to comment on the charges levelled at City, he refused to comment saying he would instead ‘dig in his own garden’. Or as Voltaire said in Candide, ‘il faut cultiver notre jardin‘…I suspect Arteta knew he was quoting Voltaire in English.

Watched it. Pep nails it. Thank you Premier league, you’ve probably just given us another 3 to 5 years of Pep. He loves a fight. His passion for our club is burning like a furnace, he’s a blue, make no mistake about that.
Our 2022/23 season starts again tomorrow.

I think he also said "If there is life on other planets the Premier League is the Universe's insane asylum." But I could be misquoting it in part.

“They belong to us” he says referring to some of the greatest moments in all our lives some of which happened years and years before he came to City. Why should he care what happened to City in 2012 or 2014 ?? Cos he’s a proper blue to his core is why. I love him like a brother.

He knows that it doesn’t matter what a few clowns in suits with a not very well hidden agenda decide to do in their daft little admin world, we lived it in the real world and that’s all that counts.

It isn't even that bad a season.
But the football is bad. We acknowledge that. Its whether you think winning is more fun than football. For me, i'd rather we give it a fucking go and lose. For others, winning is everything. There's no wrong answer.

Ah yes, Voltaire was a lover of fautball.
