PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

But there'd need to be a motive to do that and with Chelsea there isn't.

City's "crimes" real or imagined, are almost beside the point, the real story here is what motivates the other clubs to cobble together this ludicrous rap sheet.

But the MSM won't go there.

No one should hold their breath waiting for a Woodward and Bernstein in our fetid sports media.
Surely Miggy Delooney is the man.

The club should hire a raft of private detectives to investigate the fuck out of the usual cheating suspects. The jealous twat likes of the Red Scouse and the perpetually failing Spuds to start with. Let's see how pure and driven as the white snow their accounting looks like.
private investigators hahaha

The Signals Intelligence Agency (SIA), formerly known as the National Electronic Security Authority (NESA), is the United Arab Emirates intelligence agency.

I don't get this one, is it worded properly?
Just really bad aggregating

“Guardiola’s outburst came a day after City chief executive Ferran Soriano was seen shaking hands with executives at other clubs at a Premier League meeting in London, a disconnect that has gone down very badly among other members of the top flight.”

Yeah, I suspect when their accounts come out things will be clearer. Which isn't saying much.
I think they will be fine under FFP as they can always sell a couple of players to offset their losses

Swiss Ramble did a great breakdown explaining what it might look like for them

their cash flow is another matter though , although FFP doesn’t look at the cash flow statement ….

I think they may need to finish top 4 ,or they could be another Leeds

Runners up by 1 point in 77.
Finished 4th in 72 behind winners Derby by 1 point, same number of points as Leeds and Victimpool.
I can't recall Spurs putting in a serious and sustained challenge for the league in my lifetime, they were there abouts under Pochettino but fell away when it came down to the business end of the season.
77 was a very good team, put together by Tony Book. Guess what Swales did next.

Ffp is the biggest scam that we have witnessed in our lifetime. They contradict themselves and move goal post as they see fit. According to them ,Premise of ffp is to save clubs running into mud with debt and bankruptcy But you can’t invest your own funds. How drowning in debt is Sustainable is beyond me.
Ffp is specifically custom designed to fuck man city , nothing more nothing less.
And thats it, how it has not been challenged for the utter joke it is ie crazy.Where was FFP in the 90s and early noughties , possibly the most rubbish boring period of football ever in England, dominated by one team who bought all the best players and whose only challenger was Wenger!!!.The 90s was utter dross.

A disconnect that’s gone down very badly , sounds like they worried to me !

Ta, not seen anything from Swiss Ramble for a while now, but he's very good. He was my first entry into football finance, before PB!

I was thinking that the CL money was probably important, more than the transfers - as you say, they can _probably_ find someone to sell, and it's all positive income. I don't think they'll be a Leeds though, as they won't run out of money completely.

His piece on “it’s not FFP, it’s fraud” underscored his utter lack of understanding of accounting and finance. I hope all this shit IS about fraud because I can’t for the life of me understand how a panel of non-experts are possibly going to investigate, prove, test, gather evidence and conclude City committed true reporting fraud — for years — under the nose of their auditors. What’s Miggy going to say then?

Swales ruined us , and since he did we lost our way as a genuine big club , it’s something these young kids have no idea about when they call us an “oil” club, we had bigger average attendances than all of the London clubs back then , I think all older football fans know it - sadly , any fan under 40 out there actually don’t know how big a club we were. We’ve been tarnished ever since Swales fucked off. Hey Ho , back to FFP talk !

They flirted with it in 1985/6 (iirc) under Pleat when Clive Allen scored 49 (again, iirc).

Leeds were borrowing against future earnings that weren't guaranteed.
They failed to qualify for the champions league one year and couldn't repay monies they had borrowed on the premis that they would have this income.
They had to sell a lot of players to pay back the money they owed, turned to shit and spent 16 years outside the top flight.
My understanding is that FFP wouldn't have prevented them doing what they did but I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable posters on here will correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not entirely sure.

They were well short in 86, Victims, Everton, West Ham and Rags were top 4.
Clive Allen scored 49 in 86/87, top 2 that year were the scouse clubs.
They've flirted occasionally but always fell away when it really mattered - Spursy!
