Southampton Thread - 2022/23 | Nathan Jones sacked (Pg 6)

Unless he is managing Luton in the 3rd or 4th Tier this bloke is out of his depth. Saints are doomed.

Anyone relying on God to turn things round for them, is probably in for a long wait.

At least he’ll be free to spend Easter at home I imagine.

To be fair he did a very good job at Luton and was unlucky last season not to get promoted to the premier league.
Way out of his depth here though and comes across as very unlikeable and a bit of a knob.
Loves himself too.

Will probably end up at Luton again in about a year or so.

Will end up at QPR I reckon. They can't win and they're skint.
That's his thing.
He clearly has a method that works with players that totally trust him, but I heard a former player say the moment he walked into Stoke the senior players didn't take to him and ultimately made his job impossible.

Terrible appointment by Saints, Hassenhutl had run it's course but getting Jones in was just wrong.

As others have said when at Luton he does well but when he ventures outside his comfort zone it breaks down.

With Rob Edwards going in at Luton and carrying onwards & upwards might be a while before he manages at Kenilworth Road again.
