PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

In most areas of journalism, you need sources, corroboration & fact-checking.

But for some reason, in football journalism you can just guess, spread rumours, report what your United-supporting mate down the pub would like to be true ... & sensationalise whatever you want, based on your own biased agenda.

I think the suggestion that, the lack of a comma or apostrophe is what rival fans will pick up on, is way off the mark. Whatever mark it is.
I agree. Based on the reactions I've seen to Pep's press conference, I imagine people will just call us cheats with a victim complex before going back to complaining about their respective clubs' owners.

There is a rumour that one London club has been far more active in this than others and that yes they have almost certainly been both briefing certain journalists and also been a major player when it comes to lobbying the PL
I can imagine two London clubs that could fit that description tbh, and I’m not thinking of West Ham or Chelsea.

WTF…. Rob Harris has joined Micah, Neville and Keane for the pre match analysis
It was Deleney yesterday with BT as well, as I say, they know exactly what they’re doing.

Micah nodding along to Gary Neville saying, ‘City were a laughing stock around the time Micah started playing for them’ is probably worse than anything Delaney and Harris can say though!

Come on Micah, speak up for the club. Bat some of this biased shit back.
He would need to have done his research, have his ducks in a row and hit them with cold hard facts every time a speculative insinuation is suggested or a lie is perpetuated.
I don’t think Micah is the man for the job. Not a job he wants to keep anyway.
Send Mike Summerbee in.

If there is no credence to this then nothing will be done. No harm in finding out. How do you know that printed quotations are not true?

Its an old quote, so I can’t recall where I first heard it wasn’t true - but the article below covers it in detail, and it seems it’s a distortion of a much less incendiary segment from his Autobiography.

The Mail is amazing right now. I might be wrong but I felt like the nation state narrative had died down but now it’s in the headline on a mail article.

How they have an article trying to drag Melbourne City in yet I carnt work out what they are even alleging.

Harris saying we won at CAS as alot was time barred. If we are going down that rabbit hole then hello dippers stadium bollox for starters.
2 to 1 majority on CAS shows we werent completely innocent. Again bollox

Surely nobody is surprised, it's Sky's proven approach .

Stop watching, stop quoting , as it just gives them breath .

Ignore the fuckers , it's not for the benefit of impartial or viewers without an axe to grind.

It’s hard to dislike Micah but he’s no Gore Vidal.

The article by Thomas in the Sun was very welcome and very surprising but isn't relevant to the present problems. The most serious charges are nothing to do with FFP of either the UEFA or PL variety but maintain that City are guilty of falsifying their accounts KNOWINGLY and the club would lose if Lord Pannick were to argue that the club did falsify the accounts because FFP placed unlawful and ridiculous limits on investment because this would not deal with the charges City actually faced. As Projectriver showed, the club faces ver serious charges and a threat to its very existence. So let's stop deluding ourselves that the issue is FFP. Lord Pannick will certainly fight the right case!
