Joey Barton’s autobiography

Psychopath , its in the genes. In his early days at City he seemed one of a handful of players that really gave 100% and we really needed that at the time and paid him a fortune.
After his debut I saw him sharing celebratory Pizza with his pals near John Lennon Airport all pretty innocent then and like Foden etc the world at his feet.
In most industries he'd be legally excluded, the fact that he now manages a team , kids etc just about sums the game up.

The things about him I remember most:
Telling the youth team coach "I'm not going back" when he got picked for the first team.
A stunning goal from a free kick (v. Newcastle?)
His contribution to the QPR match.

Anything else is forgettable.

I never forget that look on his face when he hit Aguero on the final day. It's the kind of look you only see on the faces of twats who enjoy hurting others and playing the hard man, like a desperate schoolyard bully.

Nasty tosser, that's all he is. One of the few ex-City players I have zero time for.
Along with Ben Thatcher and Danny Tiatto

i get a bit tired of the working class cliche on your shoulder routine from British people. use it as an excuse to be dickheads.

many many footballers make it from third world countries growing up in slums and horrific poverty. they still manage to be decent respectful people.
