PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If you have a top secret dossier full of kompromat, you don't wait until you've been very publicly charged with 115 offences and had your reputation destroyed in the media before using it.
Very possibly true, and it does seem like a gift from the heavens but…..

what if you’d been trying to reason with the PL before the charges were brought, basically offering a quid pro quo “look lads, you think we’ve been cheating, we CAN prove we haven’t, albeit only after the relative lottery spin of a tribunal/hearing, neither of us wants to go down that route especially as we have documented proof of your collusion and corruption, so why don’t we draw a line under the whole thing with a simple press release along the lines of “we have thoroughly investigated City and are comfortable there is no case to answer. Case closed.” Only for the PL to throw as much made up shit at you as possible and try to sandbag you by releasing the news to their friends in the media before they even informed you themselves.?
Yes, it’s a stretch and almost certainly not as wonderful as we would all like to think but I, you, and every other City fan has had 9 days of shite poured down our throats by our avowed enemies so I say let a lad dream for a few minutes.

Yes, but the OP doesn’t say when we got hold of it, er…if we did.

To be fair, it's taken the PL 4 years to charge us. This "incident" - assuming there's any truth in it - happened in a recent away game (I'm sure we can all guess which one) so if City have been sat on anything pertaining to that, we've not been sat on it for long.
The recording could be from last season mate, it might not even have been a game from this season

I've heard similar tales of City's collation of material - I suppose they were hoping the charges wouldn't be brought - as indeed they shouldn't have been. It was I think a silent deterrent that any right minded body should have known was possible. If true - going to need a bigger popcorn!

It was still illegally obtained but is the basis for these accusations
Agree, but the emails don’t need to be used as evidence. They have merely suggested there have been financial wrongdoing. So they will check our books to verify or rule it out.

Make of this what you will, but I've just been privy to some startling information that would blow the lid off PGMOL and the power brokers at the Premier League, if it became public. It involves a recording of a conversation between the match day referee and VAR official at a recent away match, a recording that is now in the hands of City.

It's my firm belief that City have compiled a dossier so incendiary, that the Premier League will have no choice but to totally exonerate the Club of any wrongdoing. If they don't, this is going nuclear. Either way, we hold all the cards and this explains why we're so bullish about the eventual outcome. The Premier League are on the back foot, and in my opinion, are currently lobbying the membership as to how best to quietly end the process. I have also been advised that at least one of the "Nasty 9" has had board level discussions with City, distancing themselves from the others in the cabal.

Pep's press conference tells us all we need to know. Watch it again, look at the anger and barely controllable rage in the mans eyes. His attitude wasn't based upon him being reassured about some poxy finances & bullshit charges, it was because he KNOWS exactly what is coming.

Sit back and enjoy the ride Blues.
Would be great if true. If it is, imagine the counter we’d all go on, people calling us cheats for years when we’d be the ones that have actually been cheated.

I’m not doubting you as you’ve just passed the information on, I just find it very unlikely to be true. The Rashford goal was dodgy as fuck, but I think the officials are just incompetent as we are saying incidents like this nearly every week. I’m presuming it’s the Rashford goal anyway.

Because the point of Mutually Assured Destruction is to keep everyone alive, not ensure everyone is dead.
Its not up to you to determine the apt time to apply leverage, how much to apply and so on...although it does seem to me you believe it is...

Totally legit mate, 15 years on this forum should tell you that.

@Ric is aware of some more detail, feel free to check that.
One question Dodge…….on a scale of 1-10 where would you place said knowledge in terms of ‘blowing the bloody doors off’ the PL

If this is true. Isn’t it illegal to record someone without their knowledge? Thus could not be used as evidence.
Is that not a totally separate issue to what we are being charged of?

Any shit on the bastards is great. But think it would need to be obtained legally or push it out to the press.
In English courts the judge would decide on the admissibility of stolen data etc. We do not have a doctrine of ‘fruit of the stolen tree’.
