How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

IMO akin to plucking their own eyes out with a pickle fork because some dude in a top hat told them it’d improve their vision.

Anyhow, I recommend a visit to YouTube and the entering of the words ‘City of London’ in the search bar. You’ll find a fascinating history leading to a terrifying situation that our media (owned by the rich or controlled by the government - which is in turn controlled by the rich) turns a very deliberate blind eye to.

Get in there and enjoy . . in a terrified kind of way.

I remember this being discussed years ago but as you say it is studiously ignored by the media outlets with the most influence on the largest proportion of the population. As long as they've got Harry and Meghan, transgender toilets, boats on the channel and councils renaming Christmas to go on about, and as long as too many people are prepared to be outraged about these non-stories this will go on and on, and the media barons and editors who dish up this bollocks will continue to make money for themselves and their sponsors.

It ain’t half a long way down from sunlit uplands and joyful sovereignty and all the other wonderful benefits which were going to be bestowed on us ever-so-lucky plebs to a defence consisting of a totally discredited lie.
I’ve stopped laughing at them now and just sigh and shake my head at how sad they have become.
 
I'm not on Facebook but I read my wife's around the time of the referendum on Brexit was being voted on.
The amount of people who were saying they were voting to leave the EU with no clue on what they were actually voting on was unbelievable.
Lots believed that Mr & Mrs Khan who owned the corner shop would be sent back to Pakistan and only true English people could live in our country. I shit you not the stuff I read was unreal.

The really scary thing for me, was how easy it was to reduce such an enormously complex and far-reaching issue as leaving the EU and the consequences of such action to a puerile binary choice, and how it could be sold so simplistically to so many un-( and Ill-)informed people.
Heard someone on the radio this morning telling us of his admiration of Defeffel and how he inspired the nation, so I’m not expecting anything to improve soon.

People like easy answers

1/ we will take an autopsy - if its cancerous we will consider whether radio therapy or chemo is needed and possible invasive surgery - there may be some surgery needed also

2/ take one of these once a day and any idea of cancer will go away

People will go for 2 every time - even if the pill is just a tic tac

I voted remain for the simple fact I like the freedom of movement. But the amount of crazy racist shit I read in the build up to the referendum was madness.
