If we were in pre2008 days the idea of a Levy ensuring that we have a top half team threatening to get into the CL and a vague possibility of an odd cup every 10 years would probably be welcome. Putting a ball and chain on the best player would be masterful. Trying to play politics to damage the best team in the league would be heroic.

How lucky we were. Still can't believe it.

If you look at their trophy list it is not too dissimilar to ours before our takeover, althougher better in cup wins. They've won 2 titles, 8 Fa cups, 4 league cups and 3 European trophies. We'd won 2 titles, 4 Fa cups, 2 league cups and 1 European trophy. I don't see if you take trophies as the measure of a big club they are always talked about in this bracket. They have a spanking new stadium and are in London and that's about it.

Yet to fulfil their perceived potential since they were gifted SKY4 status when football was invented in 1992. Very much the runt of the SKY4 litter.

Sad.

Never mind.

I've always thought that Kane really plays for himself before the team.
Personal glory and accolade is what he thrives on.
He should never of started that champs league final against the Dippers as he wasn't fit and they got through the semi's without him.
That was their biggest chance of glory and yet an half fit Kane decided he was playing and effectively left them with 10 men as he couldn't get into the game.
He seems bigger than any manager spurs have had in his time there
Yep. I'd agree with that.

Just listened to the Conte interview about time that rat Levy was outed ..............Conte will end up at pastures new no doubt I mean why would you want to be anywhere near that mess ........... hopefully Kane runs down his contract and really fooks them over ........... arguably one of the best strikers of a generation who may end up winning Fook all unless he leaves them ASAP .............
Exactly I don't buy this bullshit about ohh he's being loyal, if you're one of the best strikers in world. You wanna win trophies its a fact. He's gonna retire with a plaque saying 250 goals or whatever

I know it's been mentioned but had we have got the deal over the line with Kane, Spud's would have had the cash to compete for Haaland,. Imagine if that would have happened and Haaland went to Spud's???
Would Conti have had his Chip's??? I know it's a play on words and ifs and buts!!

I'm no fan of Levy but it was Conti who coached the players that threw away a 3-1 lead against the bottom PL club.
Also, didn't Spurs have a good run while Conti was off sick? - Perhaps Conti is part of the problem.
The new stadium is absolutely fantastic though I'm not sure the forcefield erected in the away team goal whenever we visit is within the laws of the game. It was expensive of course but they were always going to build a ground at least equal in capacity to the Emirates.
Hope they get top four to upset the rags or the dippers though.

True. The same mentality will come into play in the coming months. Conte’s outburst yesterday would suggest that the relationships between him and the owners and him and the players are irreparably broken, yet where do they now turn? They genuinely are a big club with everything in place to succeed, save for a manager and a team.
Levy is the real problem.

Twenty-two years at the helm and ten managers. He’s certainly a part of the diagnosis but one could make a strong case for an underlying malaise at the club.
Levy reminds me of the character played by DDL in There Will Be Blood.
Totally obsessed with his own empire and legacy, forgetting to take care of the things that really matter.
He's the problem, he just can't see it. And nobody has got the balls to tell him.
