Not sure if I would classify Brexit as a winner for anyone.
However, listen to Fintan O’Toole and tell me, is he talking through his hole or is he making sense.

Personally I think although he makes a lot of sense I don’t know whether I agree with him about the dissolution of the Union, meaning the UK.

I do agree with a lot of what he says however, regarding the future of this island. I’ve always thought that the really staunch unionist in the North although they rallied against the GFA, are/were either too dumb or too hypocritical to understand or admit that it is their greatest protection.

I always like to use pictorial aids when trying to capture a sentiment. With this photo, it sums up the cost of living crisis, made so much worse by exiting from the largest trading market that has ever been. Thing is, it probably is a factor, which is another reason why voluntarily diminishing our available workforce was an act of national insanity.

Although, of course, an oft quoted ‘benefit of Brexit‘ was surely that those foreign chaps would ‘go home’ and thus drive up wages?
Older workers dropping out would also be deflationary I’d have thought, as they’ll have less cash to spend?
Its almost like the government and the BOE haven’t got the first fucking clue what they’re doing, save from benefitting a very small number of already very rich people, as they’ve been doing since they gave the hoi polloi the illusion of democracy.
