True detective binge over the last few weeks. Tv series don’t get much better tbh. Season 1-3 all excellent in their own way. The level of acting is fantastic and it’s great to see a story that is thought provoking without being over the top in terms of action scenes. Brilliant show.

The White Lotus is a good couples watch. We also just finished Daisy Jones and the Six which was decent.

Watched first episode, missus didn’t like it, not into apocalypse stuff. I might watch it, wasn’t overly enamoured either - might have been that I knew she wouldn’t be liking it, so I will give the second episode a go at some point. That happened with White Lotus, really enjoyed it once I watched it on my own. She’s a right mood hoover my other half, haha.

Great Expectations. Getting a raft of 1/10 reviews on IMDB, baffling really, people want to use every goddamn opportunity to interact to make sure their political voices are the loudest. You wonder what would have happened to Dickens back in the day, if it worked that way when his work was serialised in the papers. 8/10 for me. Olivia Coleman lights the whole thing up right at the end.

Watched the first episode of the new season of Succession last night. It didn’t disappoint

Haven’t watched it yet. I’m still making my mind up whether to watch them each week or save them all and binge them. Tried that last season though and succumbed after about four weeks!

I started to re-watch ‘Brittas Empire’. Yes it’s old fashioned, yes it is probably offending the permanently offended but it makes me smile and sometimes even giggle. Daft as a brush the whole series but gentle comedy.
