Most annoying football cliche?

"It was a good ball but no one was on the end of it" or "he had the right idea".

If no one is in the box why are they crossing it, and I'm sure every player out there has the right idea when they play football but it's all about execution so why say it!

“Running into the channels.” This is a newish one, which is designed to sound pseudo-scientific, even a bit geometrical (or something…).
Yeah, it's kind of useful for footballers not to run straight into where there's space, isn't it? Like into the back of a defender?
Pineapple Saha likes this comment!

"The football club"...he knows 'the football club', it's a massive game for 'the football club', players who wanna play for 'the football club'

football pundits are cliche. Certainly Carra and Neville. Old school talking about the big man up front or playing with your heart on your sleeve. Everything they say is cliche.

And whilst they're doing that, City (Or Arsenal/other clubs) are using false 9's inverted FBs, CBs in midfield, midfield box 4...

And you know why? These pundits havent got a scooby on what they're seeing.

Whilst player is rolling round on the floor looking to get another player booked "he's not that sort of player.." Yes he fucking is.

See also "he's an honest player"

See also Harry Kane
Let's be honest, how they always skirt around blatant dives generally. "Fernandes seems to have taken a knock there. He seems to be in some discomfort."

It seems like 'seems' is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.

The more recent addition is :

- Nothing really in it that challenge
- VAR will have a look at that
