Leroy Sané

i think he is a blue, would have stayed here but for family / love life.

i always said he was like raheem sterling but could play football and has hell of a shot on him !

come back leroy leroy leroy
I thought his missus wanted to stay.

Did that at 4-0 down. Got cooked by bernardo in the first leg when it mattered and got himself hauled off and dropped. He’d be the same as cancelo. Helps us win games we’d win anyway but then when under pressure from a quality winger cant lock it down
Mate, that's doing City & Bernardo a disservice. We were simply brilliant in that match, Bernardo especially so.

However, as someone pointed out yesterday, whilst Bernardo megged him & took the piss, rarely did it ever result in Bernardo making a killer pass or a telling shot, as Davies always recovered forcing Bernardo back.

He showed examples & pointed out something we all missed. Yes Bernardo dealt with him in the first instance, but Davies kept coming back & rectifying the situation.

Look at the difference he made when he replaced Cancelo? We know what Cancelo can do, but Davies has a different skill set which is what we're seriously lacking in as Pep said a few weeks ago.

I'd love a straight swap with Davies & Cancelo.

He made an immediate impact replacing Cancelo. I've never seen anyone burn Akanji off for pace the way Davies did last night.

Then Grealish was favourite for a late ball played into the area, & I've no idea how Davies made up the metres to beat Jack, who's no slouch himself.

Apparently he's entering the final year of his contract & we're in need of a top level left back. I'd swap him for Cancelo in a heartbeat.

Plus, as great as he's been this season, Ake was getting totally done for pace by Coman in the first half. Not a chance he does that against Davies.

Ake's lack of pace at the very top end of football was exposed last night. Coman had him on toast. It wouldn't surprise me if Aké's injury was twisted blood, it was that bad at times. HOWEVER Aké stood strong, albeit was a Hurculean struggle for him.

Agreed, I couldn't see Coman so easily twisting Davies inside out, & with a player like him in our squad, Aké could return to his best position as a Centre Back. Getting a specialist Left Back must be a priority for City this summer.

Just imagine a defence with Walker & Davies as full backs? We saw the damage Real did to us last season after Walker went off.

Rodrygo & Vini Jnr tortured Cancelo & Zinchenko especially. That ain't happening if we had those two as our full backs...

In the second leg after Walker went off injured.

We were still pretty solid although not as and we didn’t concede a shot on target until 90 mins. Definitely no one got tortured. Both goals to get them back in came from throwing the ball into the box. Then obviously they get the pen from a tired leg.

Across the two games, I’d say only their 2nd goal at ours came from pace and our back line being exploited. Fern definitely struggled more than most which was understandable.

Sorry, but I saw it differently. The game switched the moment Walker went off injured. Up to that point, we were as comfortable as we could be against Real away, but Walker's withdrawal proved to be the tipping point, as their late goals proved.

This is why I badly want us to acquire Alphonso Davies. In him I see the potential solution to our perennial LB woes. Getting him would also give us time to see if Gomez can make the grade here, which I hope he can.

Sane had his chance and everybody wanted him to stay at Manchester City but he turned his back on us,
Pep is the boss and we trust him if he wants Sane back, but I feel we are a different club and squad for Sane to just slot back into, where would he play when we have Alvarez Haaland Grealish Foden,

Not for me sorry,

From his impromptu post match interview on btsport last night (where they seemed to have caught him just wandering around the pitch) to his tears in the tunnel with Pep, it could seem like he knows he fucked up leaving us, maybe he even wishes he could return.

Question is, if there was an option for him to return and take Pep's methods seriously, would everyone accept (and want) him back, also, do you feel any emotional attachment to him and could he do a job in our current set up?
I posted no in the vote..to be fair he played well..but not the first time an ex-player turns it on against his previous club. One swallow does not a summer make.. Ask Ian Bishop ;-)
