And there you have it. The writer of the Guardian piece was after stirring some slave-shaming shit (and didn’t care whether it was true or not), some anti-City shit (that the Guardian sportdesk wankers love doing) and some anti-Manchester shit.

He had an agenda and it wasn’t well intentioned. Like someone else has posted, it came at a convenient time where it could override the focus on the Guardian’s own admittance of guilt over some shit from the past.

Maybe people can stop defending the **** now.

Good grief. You just know they’re playing the long game, saying they “just want to have a debate” but over time they’ll keep ramping up the demands until they get what they want. It’s classic bullying/controlling tactics. That’s why people respond with the woke and cancel arguments.
