Thought the ref was fine
Thought the match was even
Thought we were outplayed on the right side of midfield with camavinga/modric/kroos vs bernardo/rodri that caused problems all game
Hope we put mahrez or foden on out there in second game and force them back to a normal lb
Happy with a draw and move onto the second leg

The referee was very good in the circunstances. Thought the only blemish was the number of fouls he let Carvajal commit but tbf he was lenient with Rodri a few times aswell.

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but if Gundo or Bernardo get booked in the return leg would that rule them out of any potential final we may make? Know it used to be the case but not sure if that's still the rules or not.
Think that’s squashed from the semis onwards

Honestly though they was there for the taking if we’d have up our gears the 1st 20/30 min, thought we showered them a little too much respect and our short game wasn’t quite right tonight .
We let them grow into the game after that and was happy to just traded with them for the rest of the game .
Hoping we come out of ourselves at our place and put them away early to settle the nerves , I’d like to be booking flights at half time with a nice 3 goal cushion.

Take that result all day.

Only thing that worries me still is the lack of no changes mid match, in 30 degree heat. Pep freezes sometimes in those situations imo.

One this is certain this Mardrid team are very dirty and use everything to get result. There were moaning at ref, but he gave them everything, they wanted penatly for some absolutely ridiculous cases, then there is cheat Kross and Carvahal.

Real Madrid were a disgrace....a very very good football team but an absolute disgrace. Carvahal should have been sent off for the shoulder barge on Grealish as he was running off the pitch towards the advertising - if that isnt the definition of dangerous play/endangering an opponent, I dont know what is!!! He also got away with various other fouls that were yellows in their own right.

Taking the blatant diving and fouling out of the equation, they were a very good team and we struggled defensively at times. However the bigger disappointment was the way we attacked....i thought we were very poor in comparrison to how we can be...way too slow and all the of the midfield and forwards just werent at it. Bernardo had a poor game which is very unusual for him in these types of games. KDB drifted in and out of the game until his moment of magic and Gundo after the first 30 mins didnt have his normal composure. Neither did Rodri. Viniciuss Jnr was clearly their most dangerous player and him and Camavinga were very good.

However its that point that gives me hope for the return leg as we know we can be a lot better especially in the attacking areas of the pitch - we can cause them more problems in the next leg. Haaland was isolated due to our midfield and wide players not performing in the final thirdas we know they can

Overall a very good result...one game to get to a final....the crowd can make the difference even if Madrid get one....we know we can get more.

The other concern is that we looked tired physically and mentally - hopefully that doesnt get carried over into the league.

Rudiger is still a massive piece of shit.

Carjaval shouldn't be available for the second leg.

We didn't need to be incredible. We needed to not lose. It's a 90 minute semi final at our place now. Ours to lose.
The one player I’d make an exception for in terms of wishing somebody would spark the Cnut out.. Get Ben Thatcher back

We'll take take them down in the second leg. Just hope the home crowd are up for it and not neutral tourists.

I'll give the ref praise too. Yes got a few things wrong m, including rudiger showing why he's the biggest shit house in football, but he didn't bow to the pressure and play acting.
The ref seemed biased because in the first half, we barely had to tackle, and he was really lenient with them. But in the second half, he was lenient with us too, and refused to bow to their card-waving antics for the most part.

Tight game. Thought we controlled the game well at the start and would gradually open them up but the goal obviously changed the game and got the crowd back up and left us in danger of chasing the game and overcommitting and get caught again. We avoided that and played calmly without making too many mistakes. Professional job and can say I am happier than those Madrid fans. Hope it’s pissing down on Wednesday and freezing.
