Forgive me but, is a drift boat one of those jet boats they use over there or is just a skiff / jon boat type thing that just well, 'drifts' along in the current.

Anyone own one or been on holiday in one..really fancy trying it out

As a number of people have said it's very relaxing, really slows you down apart from the exercise you might get on some of the lock systems depending where you go. Not cheap these days so as people have said maybe do a taster day to see what you think.

If you want the weather too, one of the best holidays I've ever had was taking a narrow boat along the canal du midi though does seem to be all pleasure cruisers these days.
