They were improved in the second half but I honestly think we invited them on to counter them. We are so comfortable defending now we just didn't look bothered. The few times we weren't in total control Walker handled their pace exceptionally. Think there was one scramble at 3-0 where we weren't comfortable.I expected it to be a bit cagey and pedestrian to start, similar to last week's game. However we started at a pace where Real's ageing midfield couldn’t get near us and 2-0 at half time was an injustice to our superiority
Obviously they upped their game at the start of the 2nd half and although didn't really threaten, they were much better and in control of the ball.
The substitutions of Modric and Kroos turned the possession back in our favour
A truly wonderful performance which could have easily finished 7-0
After the game I messaged my brother who was watching it in a bar in Portugal and said "Inter will be watching that and thinking "fucking hell!""
He replied with "I was watching it and thinking "fucking hell "
Maybe not as slick as prime Pep Barcelona, but more aggressive and athletic while being just as dominant. Just unreal, if we ever see another 45 minutes as good at that at Eastlands we'll be very, very lucky. Need to rewatch it in full when I get home later cos I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the ground.
Disagree. He's a ****. Wouldn't even have let him on the premises wearing a red suit.
Could feel his pain, though!
Feels churlish all things considered, but the lads will be saying this themselves, but Haaland can and will improve his heading and Jack can and will add 5 - 10 goals per season and Real would have been lucky to get out 6 or 7 down last night.Double figures would not have flattered us.

That's a mad stat, fuck me.
Thought the twat was on the gear last night.Disagree.
Red suit and black shirt, clearly a reflection of our current second strip and a silent tribute to the away shirt so famously worn by the Lions of Vienna. That’s why he was so chipper after the match.
The Trafford treble , they only won 2 group stage matches, had replays for 2x FA cup matches, and won the PL with the (iirc) 2nd lowest points total.City the first team to get to a final without losing a single game!
Yesterday, I felt the second goal was a straight forward header like the one he scored against Bayern. Missed the replays in the midst of celebrations. Watching it today, there is so much more to that goal, there was a loop in the header and it's placed perfectly. One of the best headers you'll see.I have watched that first Bernardo goal over and over. The joy, the roar from the crowd. It’s a thing of beauty. What a night, what a performance what a team!
On the gear and no idea?Thought the twat was on the gear last night.
