Would perfectly fit with the owner’s trajectory plans…he would pay for himself with the extra exposure it would bring…more and more sponsors on board, more worldwide interest etc…Seems Messi has been in touch with the club gauging interest in him coming to us!
Fuck me how do you replace gundo and Bernardo- you can’t tell me there is anyone on the market close to the level they have consistently played at for multiple years. Honestly I get new players are shiny and exciting but offer these two everything to stay
Messi watched that destruction last night and knows he'd regret not having a year with a team like thisSeems Messi has been in touch with the club gauging interest in him coming to us!
Ironically if we do win the champions league I believe it’s more likely gundogan and Bernardo will leave. Not sure how we replace them tbh, both have a very unique skill set that bring a lot to the team
Who is big enough to back themselves to come here and put their claim in for a spot, that is the real challenge. Not being entitled but players will be falling over themselves to come to our club,if they witnessed last nights game add in if we can also win the champions league only adds to it,who wouldn’t want to play in a side that plays football like that honestly..
I'd tend to agree but offer Kalvin Philips as a counter offensive on your hypothesis. With what Pep has done to Akanji. I don't care who comes into that midfield. If Pep sees something in Rice bring him in. Peps a genius same with if he wants Kovacic bring him in.
After what Peps done with Akanji, I'd love to see what he does with Kovacic

Not judged as failure they guy hasn't been given a chance which has its own connotations.Still on his first season, many player before him is not that settled and already judged failure by some people around here.
Grealish was far better than some would admit through fear of him making them look daft.He gave plenty of indications all it would take was patience and confidence,he also knuckled down and gave it everything. Not judged as failure they guy hasn't been given a chance which has its own connotations.
Grealish was not great to start with but he kept being given chances.
I agree, both still need to mature a bit more to fully earn Pep's trust, but if Gundo and Bernie leave they will need to and quickly!Phil and Grealish are going to have to step up big time as leaders on the pitch when those 2 leave.
New players can replace technical and physical quality, but they can't replace the years of experience, the psychology of proven winners and what Pep would call "personality" to grab a big game and decide it.
Both are good enough to do it, they've just got to adopt the mentality.
That ship sailed 3 seasons ago, he would get nowhere near this team, nowhere near. For the first time under this management, I genuinely think they would say no if Messi wanted to come.
Beware the latest narrative from Spain...
"Real rate Madrid born Rodri as the best Midfielder in the world"! :-/
No chance. He’s only recently signed a new deal here and doesn’t seem one to be hung up on lifestyle (given he fucked Madrid off for Manchester without hesitation) as well as recently saying coming here was the best decision he’s made.
Future captain and will be here 10+ years.
Well....... he is!Beware the latest narrative from Spain...
