Pitch invasions

you learnt nothing last year from when the goal posts got completely ruined?

go on the pitch fine, what's the need in dicking about climbing all over the nets
I learnt my pull up max was 4 last year managed to increase it to 6 so progress.

It's a reflection of society.

People told to respect the rules, others believing they don't apply to them (because others are also doin
protests by many collectives, from religion to animal cruelty, crave publicity, no such thing as bad publicity in the eyes of a zealot. An attack on a high-profile footballer would be headlines around the world. They are vulnerable on the pitch; for that reason, I think the days of pitch invasions are numbered. Has to be prevention, identifying culprits is not the answer, except for racist chanting and similar. More than likely that nothing will be done until it happens; arresting people for "walking towards the ground" might work or "congregating to disrupt an event", like the coronation fiasco, (dont laugh they already have that power) which managed to drag the met's reputation even lower, not like they give a shit. After the Arena bombing, and the after-math of cover-up and denial.....jus' sayin

You can’t stop few thousand fans running on the pitch so of course city were going to have a plan to manage it! They did warn fans not to go on the pitch! Personally don’t give a toss how many run on the pitch but eventually the club will start warning fans that they will be banning them for life!
There were notices in the toilets specifying punishments for various misdemeanours, going on to the pitch was one of them.

Fully understandable in May 2012. It was spontaneous. Fuelled by emotion. It was quite emotional watching back the invasion on TV after I got home from the game. I didn't other going on to the pitch as I was in CBL3.

Yesterday especially, it was contrived and, quite frankly, looked a bit lame. Seemingly many of them doing it for some Instagram and Snapchat likes (or whatever they are called).

Am I miserable? Yes but then I turn 50 this year.

I’ve just invaded the pitch and finished cutting the lawn in the garden.

I was hoping this thread would have got to 100 pages by now.

When have the people running football FIFA, UEFA, the FA, and the PL ever followed their own rules, respected them, and respected us the fans?

Should have just sent the police dogs on the pitch then these adults and kids doing embarrassing knee slides for social media would have soon fucked off. There were plenty of tourists on there getting group photos from different angles etc. And what is the point of the stewards if they just stand aside and let people on. What's the point of them? It wouldn't surprise me if the club banned some people just to make a point for future and to show the PL that they tried to stop it.

We gone from electrifying, shooting, fighting, and now sending police dogs on to stop 1000’s of pitch invaders. Lol!

Going off the gruesome ways some on here want pitch invaders to be dealt with, what about this?

Or just carpet bomb everyone on the pitch.

One silly sod did a knee slide right in front of the South Stand and didn't realise it was astroturf.

Legs looked like they had been attacked by a cheese grater.

Reading many posts on here it seems that the two sections are too far apart for there to be any agreement. But I do think the club will issue some bans after repeatedly asking fans not to go on the pitch. They may just identify random individuals or the one's who were first on the pitch but I think to appease, whoever issues any fine they will take action by issuing bans. Of course I could be completely wrong and the club may just laugh the pitch invasion off and pay any fine that comes because of it, but I doubt it. Myself I was in the east stand 2 and after sitting in that heat for the full match so when the invasion started I and many around left knowing that we would be there for another hour and had no desire to sit another hour in that heat. If nobody had gone on the pitch and everything regarding the presentation could have started immediately after the final whistle I would have stayed.
Im in East Stand Level 3 and when the pitch invasion happened went to the toilet. When I looked over the spirals I was amazed at the number of people leaving. I understood it in 2012 but not yesterday.

Corporate? Hospitality?

Haha throwing those groups in to try and defend the idiots.

It is not the most difficult job to do and it only takes catching 100 season ticket holders to start making it affective. There are no more home games so at least it will give them something to do until next season starts.
Saw a few from the tunnel club going on..........no honest I did. Also saw them walking back into that area.

Tunnel club scum............
