Couple of things from last nights coverage.
Great shot from the Brighton lad granted but Sky went strught into the eulogy, not a word about defenders backing off, how was he allowed so much space etc to detract from it.
Second when Cole came on early he had a little run and very decent shot from a tight angle. Smith scoffs hopeful trying to score from there. 2 minutes later Ferguson at the other end shoots from a tight angle, super excitement, this lad is fearless such confidence to believe he can score from there....
Makes me wonder how much training Sky put into the commentary team during the week to get them to their required level of bias.
Had they done that instead this thread would be full of people saying they created a narrative of City being poor at defending! Literally cannot win.

It's a sad thing but kids today, those without family allegiance, follow the player not the club.
KDB a recognised world class talent. We all knew that Sergio, Yaya and Silva were but KDB has a bigger profile. Saw him interviewed on German TV after the Madrid game and that made me appreciate how he's seen outside the UK bubble
Erling is our first true superstar. I don't know how many "fans" he brings but in commercial value they're gold.
Jack is not yet at the same level as Erling but on his way - maybe the next Beckham in the commercial world. If/when he gets a "trophy" WAG we'll see him parading the catwalks. As long as he performs on the pitch, it's alright by me.
Interesting Post.
Yesterday I was decked out in a Tee shirt with Club crest proudly displayed on a day trip to Santorini for maximum exposure.
Got talking to a very friendly Russian born lad in his mid twenties living in Munich.
I was just about to mention the QF when it got even better as he announced himself as a Madrid fan first but loved all football.
I asked him he was surprised at the 4-0 and replied “No, because you play the most fantastic and entertaining football”
Also asked why Madrid and it was basically down to the fake Ronaldo.
He also hates Munich but really just wanted to talk anything football.
We are definitely growing quickly.

Just been looking at the headlines of a few papers and most are written to discredit and demean us. They can all go and fuck themselves with their spurious bullshit and lies.
I have to laugh when they claim on podcasts that seemingly fans of all teams are cretins who just go online to throw abuse at brilliant journalists and their Pulitzer prize winning articles. Most fanzine contributers can produce an higher standard of journalism than those clowns. (excluding red top fanzine clowns, who are usually the same people).

Simon Kelner on 5Live this morning was absolutely fantastic. Well worth repeat listening if you can (about 7:45am onwards).

Innocent Until Proven Guilty, FFP is flawed, just loving watching City play. Top stuff.

Fake-Scouse-Rick's counter arguments torn to shreds.

@ 1:48:15.

Apologies if this has been previously posted.

My word! French version of Stuntpeg but somehow gets this old mans temperature rising. Good views and capture of the atmosphere too. I think I am a fan!

She told me she loved watching City batter 'em, when she came back to mine later. In French.
Emily Blunt wasn't happy though when she was told she'd be in the spare room that night.

I don't begrudge Brighton any praise and I love the way they have played this season and put clubs like Spurs to shame. But a little perspective would have helped last night. The players had to come down from the euphoria of the title win; our defensive set-up was far from our strongest; our players were obviously trying to avoid injury; and we could have scored more - including Haaland's effort being unfairly ruled out by VAR in my opinion. Give credit to Brighton for what they have all season and last night but recognise that the City performance was good despite all those factors. Balance is something the broadcasters are not good at - we've known that for years and this is just another example of a lack of it.

And some people moan because of tourists going to our games. We all wouldn’t mind a few thousand of her sat in the south stand.

the 115 charges bollocks has been quiet most of the season and as soon as it became clear we were gonna collar the arse and win the league it all gets blown up again, wankers

It's the inconsistent way the referees run the game. A tug on the shirt, while stood still, negates a goal, yet a tug on Bernado's shoulder whilst running at full speed in the penalty area is completely ignored.

I think it was later than that. I’d say it was around the Dippers had blown their chance at top 4.

Great diversion.

Some dick head journalist in the Telegraph has done a piece supposedly about how a new rag owner is sat on a goldmine. The land the rags own, plus other land, is ripe for houses. The journo is however quick to point out, in fact he spends most of the article slagging how City and Manchester City Council did it. It borders on saying it was corrupt, no social housing, ADUG made millions but Manchester lost millions. Here's me thinking the council loved what City did, how could I be so wrong.
