PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Masters has completely washed his hands of it. Khaldoon, ever the diplomat, was still able to get his message across.

Surprisingly, perhaps, Chelsea's own executive were also in our corner.
Cheers for the update, Tolm. Just curious how Masters can have washed his hands of it if he is the PL chairman. Is he basically admitting defeat? And who's running this if he isn't?

Serie A docked points from Juventus with games remaining.

The Premier League made a statement and allowed it to get to the end of the season.

UEFA did something and little happened.

Italian football does appear stronger, whilst the PL and UEFA ruin their own brands.

Serie A are a fucking joke. They docked Juventus 15 points, dropping them to the bottom half of the table. Then gave them back the 15 points putting them from 12th tp 3rd. Pissing off about 6 clubs competing for top 4. Then docked them 10 points leaving the milan clubs who were out of Europe back in. Fucking shambles and an embarrassment for the league, yoyo table. Handing out points and taking them like they are brown envelopes or betting slips, while players try work out whether to play hell for leather on the pitch or start looking for new clubs.

It is odd that English-based journalists who write about the game are desperate for Pep, the greatest manager in the world, to leave the Prem. I would suggest some in the press would seemingly rather we had more Sam Allardyce's and Tony Pullis' managing teams. Some journalists genuinely hate football.

The thick cunts had the audacity to suggest Big Sam should be his assistant to teach him how to defend.

If I’d had such an atrocious day at work as that I’d never show my face again, but they are relentless.

I was quite confident up to about 30 minutes before the verdict was due to be announced, then I was absolutely bricking it, having been quite vocal that we'd not be found 'guilty'. I had to take the afternoon off work as my head had gone completely.
I remember your tweet when the news came through. Such a huge relief.

Just a very positive steer that we don't expect or intend for this whole debacle to last much beyond this year.

i wonder if those recent guardiola pre-match presser comments (about wanting the lawyers to sit down tomorrow and sort it out) means he already knew about this?

Masters is not very smart. He is out of his depth. How he got the job is a mystery but he was personally vetted by Directors of LFC and MUFC.
He didn't look CEO material in the regulator hearing, to be honest, and at the weekend he looked like a kid on the naughty step. Un-com-for-ta-ble. Wonder what Khaldoon had been saying to him?

Am I right in thinking when this is finally done it's done? In that we don't have any other bodies or cases to be raised (ignoring any potential appeals) that we can finally just focus on the pitch?
No.
When we’re exonerated we’ll still be called cheats and state owned with limitless funds, by our detractors looking for an excuse for why their own teams owners/management are shite.

MSM will back up their findings, of course.

I imagine washing his hands in the same way Ceferin did at UEFA: try to negotiate a way out and then reluctantly let the process run its course and deal with the consequences.

The process is in place now. Not sure what Masters can do to stop it.

Haven't seen anyone mention this but is it not slightly concerning that Pep is asking for the verdict sooner? Surely he would have had reassurances from the club that everything will be OK? Or has he?
I rather suspect Pep knows full well that we will be totally exonerated and that is exactly why he wants this done sooner rather than later. And I also imagine that certainty of innocence has come from the club.
I’d be far more concerned if Pep was deliberately downplaying the need for a speedy resolution.
