I said that before but 2 days off before a final seems way too much for me. :(
I wanted them with zero off days and to train and train and train and again train as hard possible, I do not mean physically and spend all their energy of course, but physically and tactically. Be every day there hours and hours and analyze everything.
Pep claimed this approach is overrated and it's better for them to calm down and be disconnected from the team for 1-2 days.

I do not buy it but it's Pep for a reason that is a coach and the best one and not me :) Let's hope it works!!

Hmm after seeing this video with Pep about this(5:20) I changed my mind. I think his justification makes a lot of sense :)

Personally I just think this was Ederson’s warm up for the CL game. I think Ortega will play next week.

The only decisions for me are Akanji/Ake and Bernado/Foden.

I think Foden has played well last couple of weeks and could play but won’t start the CL final. Bernardo will be back for that.

I think their players will capitulate, bad mentality when it matters and the football equivelent to a band of thieves, no honor.

My one concern is the ref, so we have to be so good we take him out of the equation which means taking our chances. Do that to even 60% of our ability and we'll wipe the floor with them.

Ederson will not be playing which I don't agree with.
Pep said he would be playing Ortega.
Problem with that is, Ortega's distribution is way inferior and can create uncertainty
plus Ederson will not have played for 2 weeks leading into Champs League Final

We are on the verge of history and should not be playing on sentiment

You know, I think Ederson may play a few games in training over the next two weeks, it’s not like he will be in Ibiza on a jolly during that time.

He’s basically missing 90 minutes of football.

As for Ortega playing, he deserves it, he’s far too good for a number 2 and his save percentage is off the charts anyway. Some would say it doesn’t weaken us having him in net from that perspective and United don’t exactly press anyway.
