During the quadruples season, Ederson played in the FA Cup final, but the circumstances were slightly different as he played all of the rounds. I obviously don't communicate with Guardiola, but I am hoping it is the same XI for both of the finals, with Ederson in goal.

I hope they play him too but City are in a good position at keeper, there isn't much of a difference in quality between Ederson and Ortega.
 
There's a worry over sharpness but physically we will be primed to go and mentally we don't need to worry. This is a cup final, a derby, they don't need more motivation. Even if it is a bit patchy at first it will not take long to click into gear and them we should hand out the thrashing they so deserve. 4-1 City.
 
My concern here is that quite a few players will be out of their rhythm after not playing for a couple of weeks. We've seen it endless times where we've had a weeks break in between games and we've looked poorer for it. We should be fresher but lacking fluidity in our play possibly
 
I believe that this will be an incredibly tight game.
Manu will suddenly become world beaters for one afternoon only.

It will be painful;
It will be stressful;
BUT
We will prevail.

I think Rags are going to be extremely physical knowing we have a CL final coming up. It is their most important game of the season and it wouldn't feature in the top 3 in our season. That is the difference and gap between the two clubs.

Problem with that is, Ortega's distribution is way inferior and can create uncertainty
plus Ederson will not have played for 2 weeks leading into Champs League Final

Ortega is arguably a better keeper at shot stopping & crosses but his distribution is let down by leaving his passing out that split second.

If the rags gamble on pressing us and he gets the ball away it could be a cricket score with the space left but, if they get lucky and sneak one to go in front the game will make our home match v Everton look like total football.

Got to put these cunts back in their box.

They are not playing to win the FA Cup.

They are playing to stop us.
