Just looked at the City website and…..”Taylor heaps praise on Raso”. This dickhead has again failed to utilise a very talented player who is now leaving the club. New contract to Alanna Kennedy sums up this idiot - player who cost us the FA Cup Final last year…..after a brilliant Hayley Raso goal gave us hope.
Which player/players will leave City next?? I wouldn’t trust this utter bellend to spend the Keira Walsh money. Get rid of him NOW.
 
The latest (29/05/23) Women’s Team post on the City website - Stats of the season - is a joke. The author, Sam Cox is clearly a fully paid-up member of the “Gareth Taylor is a godlike genius” fan club.
”strong campaign“, “fell narrowly short”, “plenty of positive signs”, “significant progress”, “a whopping 84 goals”, “a staggering 2.7 per game”, and other garbage. It is Utter bollocks………
They won fuck all….finished 4th….and lacked direction and passion.
The worst piece of journalism I have read on the City website.
Anyone know this clown Sam Cox??

It's on the club website, it's PR not journalism. They're not going to criticise him there any more than they would Pep.
 
That interview with Bunny Shaw. Good that she's extended (we need, I think, one or two more in the close season).
It strikes me that when Steph hangs up her boots, Bunny is potential captain material. Not just because she's a good player, but she's got something else about her. I say that, despite the fact that I'm not normally wild about strikers being made captain of their team.

Great news that Bunny has extended

Think the captaincy will go to Greenwood then Morgan presuming both are still here when it happens.
 
Alex Greenwood as captain. A fully fit Laia Alexandri is another natural leader as is our very own Esme Morgan. Would not consider Bunny Shaw at all as captain.
 
Who should be our first choice goalkeeper next season? No way that Ellie Roebuck is guaranteed that position. Another one who under Taylor has gone backwards. Pisses around time wasting and her delivery is usually poor……often doesn’t even take goal kicks. I’d be far happier with Sandy or Khiara between the sticks.
 
I see we're once again providing the most players to an England squad with 6 called up for the World Cup. Congratulations to Roebuck, Greenwood, Morgan, Coombs, Hemp & Kelly. Park also included in the 3 standby players. No room for Houghton sadly (but not unexpectedly) despite the players missing.

Forwards: Rachel Daly (Aston Villa), Bethany England (Tottenham Hotspur), Lauren Hemp, (Manchester City), Lauren James (Chelsea), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City), Katie Robinson (Brighton & Hove Albion), Alessia Russo (Manchester United).
 
Steph Houghton left out again…..WTF. This coach really does hate her. Jess Carter, Niamh Charles and Lotte Wubben-Moy are vastly inferior, cannot read a game, disasters waiting to happen with late tackles and offer fuck all in long passes and free kicks. They are poor.
This coach is going to be seriously found out in this tournament. Never once picked her best 11 in the Euros and constantly bailed out by ‘impact subs’.Quality of opposition was poor and other teams missing key players.
Midfield looks particularly poor - no genuine creativity. No ‘impact subs’. The poor quality of the other teams will probably get them to a semifinal.
 
If the club is all for equality then surely Steph should be given a statue outside the academy stadium.

10 years. Mostly always captain. Been with the women’s team from the start when most were still PT. Lifted the league and all domestic cups. Represented us amazingly off the pitch and is adored by the match going fans.

Be a shame if she wasn’t rewarded for her fantastic service with this kind of accolade.
