Have to say McIlroy very fair on NW Tonight spoke with pride about playing for both clubs and showed respect. A lesson for Peter Schmeichel there.

His positioning in the box was always exceptional. His finishing, not so much!

Agreed it really started back then in the 80’s, the gate receipt change, then the formation of the Premier League (led by the Rags/Bin Dippers/Arse/Spuds/Everton), then the Champions League followed and the Cartel made sure they got more money than the rest and then finally the “big four” Premier League PR. That was the final key objective and forever was it meant to stay!!

Unfortunately for the Carrel it didn't quite work out as they’d hoped. Hence the bullshit which we have to endure currently

That said, you make a fair point…

For me, and I say this from the perspective of a father, what he endured (and no doubt will endure to his dying day) as a dad is beyond my comprehension. I cannot imagine that level of grief.
